The Skoda Superb is a premium sedan that offers a blend of comfort, space, and advanced features, making it a luxurious and practical choice for long drives.
The latest Skoda Superb model was launched in July 2020. The new Superb was introduced at the Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi, where it garnered much attention for its sleek and sophisticated design.
The Skoda Superb's design is dominated by crisp, straight lines flowing well with the beautifully designed headlamps and grille. There is not a major change in the design with the facelifted model.
At the front, the Superb flaunts an imposing look with projector headlamps and sleek DRLs. The new Skoda logo is proudly displayed on top of the grille at the edge of the bonnet.
At the side, the Superb has a sporty look, with a coupe-like roofline that enhances its aesthetic appeal. The Skoda Superb sits on diamond-cut 17-inch alloys.
The Superb's interior feels plush with soft-touch materials. Everything, including the AC control knobs and audio volume buttons, feel built to last. The dashboard design looks generic. The Sportline trim comes with a sporty all-black interior theme while the L&K version comes with a black and beige theme which looks airy and premium.
The Sportline also comes with Alcantara upholstery, front seats with integrated headrests and digital dials. The front seats provide very good comfort and come with a 12-way electric adjustment.
The rear seats are the star of the show in the Skoda Superb. The legroom is fantastic and can rival the likes of the BMW 3-series and Audi A4. The L&K variant comes with a 'Boss button' which can help push the front passenger's seat forward and enhance the legroom further.
All 3 passengers at the rear get adjustable headrests and the seats are very wide too. You also get rear AC vents with climate control, a 12V socket, USB charging ports and a comfortable armrest with cup holders.
The Superb also comes with a huge 625-litre boot which can be increased to 1790 litres with the rear seats folded.
The Skoda Superb is also loaded with features like:
Keyless entry and go
Ambient lighting
8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto
Single-pane Sunroof
11-speaker sound system
Three-zone climate control.
The Skoda Superb is loaded with safety features such as:
Eight airbags
Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution
Electronic Stability Control
Traction Control
Hill-hold control.
The Superb also has rear parking sensors and a rearview camera, which makes parking in tight spaces easy. The Superb has been awarded a perfect five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, which is a testament to its safety features.
The Superb is also constructed on a rigid monocoque chassis with built-in crumple zones which absorb most of the impact in the event of a crash.
The new Skoda Superb comes with VW's latest 2.0-litre direct injection, turbo petrol engine than makes 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a super responsive 7-speed DSG gearbox.
You will find the engine thoroughly refined at lower city speeds. At higher speeds is where you'll begin to enjoy driving the Superb. The Superb is meant to be driven with enthusiasm as the engine begs to be revved hard. The quick-shifting gearbox adds to the thrill. If you want to get more aggressive, you can take control of the gearshifts via paddle shifts or the manual buttons on the gear lever.
Skoda claims a 0-100 kph time of just 7.7 secs for the Superb with launch control. You also get drive modes to fine-tune the car. You'll be better off with Eco and Normal for the most part but if you want to get the best out of the Superb, switch to Sport.
The steering feels so precise and has a good weight to it. The suspension is well-tuned too and can take up quite some punishment. However, there is some movement over very bad roads at higher speeds and some road noise enters the cabin too.
The Skoda Superb is the best option in the market for those who are looking for a premium sedan. It is also a good value-for-money option for those who want more 'car' for their money. However, owning a car means other hassles like finding a convenient parking space, choosing the right insurance, and keeping track of Challans.
With the Park+ app, you can avail of services such as buying car Insurance, checking challan status, buying used cars, and recharging FASTag. You can even book a doorstep car wash service to keep your Superb clean and looking great.

Skoda Superb is back: Relaunch expected on 3 April
Skoda Superb was discontinued by the brand when it failed to follow the norms of the BS6 Phase-II emission standards that came into effect on April 1, 2023. Instead of giving up or completely discontinuing this car, sooner Skoda shared a glimpse of the new Skoda Superb scheduled to make its extravagant re-entry in the Indian market on April 3, 2024. Almost a year after its discontinuation. It is important to note that the fourth-generation Skoda Superb which was to be debuted globally in November 2023 originally, is also planned to be launched later this year. ## Will this car exceed our expectations? The [Skoda Superb](https://parkplus.io/new-cars/skoda-car/superb), which goes on sale tomorrow, is the previous generation vehicle that was sold in India before its discontinuation due to the adoption of BS6 regulations. Furthermore, by GSR 870 regulations, the Skoda Superb will be imported into India as CBUs rather than being assembled there. Reports suggest an estimated ex-showroom price of around Rs 55 lakh for the top-spec 'L&K' variant. Recent media sources claim that a confidential corporate document has been leaked, revealing that Skoda intends to return on April 3 and may introduce 100 of the brand-new Superb to India. Additionally, we can expect a park assist and a 360-degree camera for the Superb. Other features include a three-zone climate control system, Bluetooth phone connectivity, electrically adjustable seats, ventilated seats with massaging capabilities, and more. It will not have a sunroof, though. The global Superb lineup is expected to boast a range of engine choices, including plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid TSI turbocharged petrol, and TDI diesel engines. The 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged gasoline engine, which produces 188 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, and the 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine, which produces 148 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, will be the main attraction for the Indian market. A seven-speed [DSG automatic transmission](https://parkplus.io/new-cars/automatic-transmission) may be added with both engines. According to several reports, the top-spec 'L&K' model of the new Skoda Superb is reportedly to cost about Rs 55 lakh. The carmaker is expected to introduce the upgraded [Octavia in India](https://parkplus.io/new-cars/skoda-car/octavia) as a CBU after the Skoda Superb. Low Service Cost and Decent Fuel Economy
One of the reasons I chose the Skoda Superb was its low service cost. Over the past year, I have experienced minimal maintenance expenses compared to other luxury cars. Additionally, the car offers decent fuel economy, ensuring that I don't have to empty my wallet at every fuel station. It's a reliable and economical choice.

Impressive Safety Features for Peace of Mind
The Skoda Superb prioritizes safety with its array of features. The anti-lock braking system and driver and passenger airbags provide reassurance and peace of mind. The fog lights ensure visibility, in challenging weather conditions, making it a safe and secure choice for my family. I'm thoroughly impressed with the emphasis on safety in this sedan.

No, the new Skoda Superb comes only with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The 2.0-diesel unit has been discontinued owing to the inability to meet strict emission norms and less demand.
The 7-speed DSG automatic transmission comes with paddle shifters and performs well in hill regions. It also comes with Hill Hold Assist which prevents the Superb from rolling back on an uphill.
The Skoda Superb comes with a 2-year/ 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. You can also opt for extended warranty service on Skoda's official website. Please make sure to read the documents on the components covered under warranty.
The new Superb is only slightly faster than the old one in terms of in-gear acceleration. However, under wet conditions, the new Superb performs marginally better than the old model.
The Skoda Superb can comfortably seat 5 adults. There is ample legroom and headroom for rear-seat passengers. The front seats provide a good commanding view of the road and come with a 12-way height adjustment. All seats are well-cushioned and offer supreme comfort.
The Skoda Superb excels in both low-speed commuting as well high-speed cruising. You can drive either in a relaxed manner or in an aggressive and enthusiastic way and the Superb never fails to impress you.
The Skoda Superb competes directly with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata. However, with the Sonata and Accord now discontinued in Indian markets, the Superb has no real competition.
The Skoda Superb offers supreme rear seat comfort that rivals even the likes of the BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-class at a much cheaper price even though it lacks their brand value. This makes the Superb a great value-for-money option.
The new Superb comes in 5 different colours - Magic Black, Lava Blue, Graphite Grey, Brilliant Silver and Moon White. The interiors are available only in either a sporty all-black theme in the Sportline variant or a beige and black theme in the L&K variant.
The new Superb is not a proper off-road vehicle. It does not come with a four-wheel drive option and is equipped with regular road tyres. The low ground clearance of 156mm also doesn't help off-road.
