India Bound 2025 Skoda Superb To Debut At Bharat Mobility Expo

India-Bound 2025 Skoda Superb to Debut at Bharat Mobility Expo

The 2025 Skoda Superb: A Major Leap Forward

According to the latest information from the car manufacturer Skoda Auto, the company is preparing for the presentation of the fourth generation of Superb at the BME in January 2025.

Besides the Superb, the brand will introduce the Kodiaq SUV and the Octavia RS for people of India looking forward to experiencing the new generation car models.

For the new, top standard Superb is proposed to defend a position in the premium segment, while equipped with a redesigned design, higher features and an improved power train.

Massive Year-End Discounts on the Outgoing Model

Going by its present model, Skoda India has unveiled good rebates on the incumbent third-generation Superb. Priced at Rs. 54 lakh ex-showroom, customers can get up to Rs. 18 lakh year-end discounts, making the actual price about Rs. 38 lakh. This kind of aggressive pricing is expected to help to remove stocks and create a way for the incoming fourth-generation Superb models.

New Design and Features in the Fourth-Generation Superb

Internationally, the 2025 Skoda Superb comes with new dimensions, more elegant lines and a sportier finish accompanied with revised LED head and tail lamps.

Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with a focus on luxury and cutting-edge technology, including:

  • Bigger and Superior Technologized Infotainment Systems with better connectivity.

  • Adaptive cruise control, keep up assist, full-speed range radar cruise control and lane keeping assist.

  • A larger interior, for the sedan as well as estate customers.

Many of these changes should be carried over to the locally built model with added luxuriousness felt in the construction of the Skoda’s flagship sedan.

Powertrain Options: Innovation Meets Performance

In the European market, the new Superb features advanced powertrain options, including:

  • A PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) version with an all-electric range of 100km.

  • Skoda’s 1.5-litre mild-hybrid technology for improved fuel efficiency.

For India, the fourth-generation Superb is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, delivering 201bhp and 330Nm of torque. This powerful engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), ensuring a seamless driving experience.

Competition in the Premium Sedan Market

The 2025 Skoda Superb will face stiff competition in India’s growing D-segment sedan market. Key rivals include:

  • Hyundai Tucson – a tech-laden SUV.

  • BYD Atto3 – an electric SUV with futuristic styling.

  • BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe – a luxury compact sedan.

  • Toyota Camry Hybrid – known for its eco-friendly hybrid technology.

With its advanced features and premium positioning, the Superb is poised to cater to customers seeking luxury and performance without stepping into the luxury car segment.

Looking Ahead

The Bharat Mobility Expo will serve as the launchpad for Skoda’s bold new offerings, including the Superb. Scheduled for an early 2025 release, the sedan reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation and excellence. With its refreshed design, advanced technology, and powerful engine options, the new Superb is expected to make a significant impact in India’s premium sedan market.
