Kia India Launches the All-New Kia Syros Compact SUV

Kia India has finally unveiled its new subcompact SUV, the Kia Syros, which is currently in the Indian market.

After the Sonet, Syros will go on sale in 2025 as the second subcompact SUV. At the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025, Kia will announce the Syros prices.

Bookings for this model will commence on January 3, 2025, while deliveries are expected to start sometime in February 2025.

Engine Variants

The two engine options that the Kia Syros will provide include:

  • A 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol, that produces 120hp of power and 172Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT, and

  • A 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel that will give an output of 115hp and 250Nm of torque, combined with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Variants and Colours

The Syros will be available in six variants:

  1. HTK

  2. HTK (O)

  3. HTK Plus

  4. HTX

  5. HTX Plus

  6. HTX Plus (O)

It will also come in eight vibrant colors:

  • Frost Blue

  • Glacier White Pearl

  • Sparkling Silver

  • Intense Red

  • Imperial Blue

  • Pewter Olive

  • Gravity Grey

  • Aurora Black Pearl

Let’s take a closer look at the variant-wise features of the Kia Syros.

Kia Syros HTK

The HTK is the base that comes only with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Key features are:

  • Exterior: Halogen headlamps, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, flush-fitting door handles, shark fin antenna.

  • Interior: Semi-leatherette seats in black and grey dual-tone design, 4.2-inch MID, and 12.3-inch HD touchscreen with a 4-speaker audio system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

  • Convenience Features: Steering mounted audio controls, rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, Type-C USB chargers (front and rear), adjustable tilting steering wheel, illuminated power windows on all doors.

  • Comfort and Safety: Manual air conditioning, rear AC vents, rear door sunshade curtains, day and night IRVM, remote key with central locking, electrically adjustable ORVM.

Kia Syros HTK (O)

  • HTK (O): The HTK (O) variant is available with both 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine options. Besides the features of HTK, the HTK (O) adds the following:

  • Notable exterior features: Electric sunroof, roof rails, and 16-inch alloy wheels (diesel) or 15-inch steel wheels with full covers (petrol).

  • Interior Enhancements: Driver seat height adjustment, auto-fold ORVMs with integrated turn signals.

  • Audio System: Improved sound quality with two tweeters added to the system.

Kia Syros Car HTK Plus

HTK Plus can be processed through both engine variants and transmission. Other features include:

Exterior Features

  • 16-inch alloy wheels

  • Dual-pane panorama sunroof

Interior Features

  • Cloud Blue and Grey - dual tones with Mint Green accents

  • Semi-leatherette seats

Advanced Features

  • Intelligent Key with Push Button Start/Stop; Paddle Shifters (Petrol-DCT variant)

  • Rear Disc Brakes

  • Follow-me-home headlamps

  • Drive Modes-Eco, Normal, Sport (for Petrol-DCT variant)

  • Traction Control Modes-Sand, Mud, Snow

  • The 60:40 split rear seating includes slide and recline functionality, adjustable headrests, rear center armrest with cup holders, as well as rear parcel shelf

Kia Syros HTX

This variant of HTX is available in both engine types with all the additional truncated features. LED headlamps, daytime running lights, LED tail-lamps. Interior Dual-tone leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.

Convenience Features include:

  • Remote window up-down functionality

  • Rear wiper and washer

  • One-touch auto-up-down for all windows.

An additional feature for Petrol-DCT: Electric parking brake with auto-hold functionality.

Kia Syros HTX Plus

As far as luxury and technology are concerned, additions in the HTX Plus will be:

Exterior:

  • 17-inch alloy wheels

  • Puddle lamps with Kia logo projection

Interior

  • Dual-tone grey leatherette seats with Matte Orange accents, 64-color ambient lighting. Technology: 12.3-inch HD MID, 5-inch touchscreen to control climate conditions

  • 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system; Kia Connect 2.0 with OTA updates and remote diagnostics

  • Air purifier with AQI display

  • Smart dashcam with dual cameras and app integration and comfort features

  • Rear ventilated seats, automatic day/night IRVM, wireless smartphone charger, and four-way powered driver seat adjust
