Hyundai Verna Gets Feature-Rich SX+ Variant; Prices From ₹13.79 Lakh

Hyundai India has launched a new SX+ variant in the Verna sedan line-up that includes a lot of comfort and tech features. The SX+ trim sits between the SX and SX(O) variants and provides front seat ventilation, Bose audio among many others while including the now familiar 1.5L petrol engine and two transmissions.

Hyundai Motor India has bolstered its already rich Verna lineup, providing the SX+ variant to add value for those customers looking to upgrade from a mid-spec SX trim with a manual to a top-spec SX(O) trim with a manual.

With the manual SX+ starting at ₹13.79 lakh and the CVT SX+ at ₹15.04 lakh (ex-showroom), this new trim offers up loads of desirable features at a reasonable price point.

More Features, Better Comfort

The SX+ variant has also received large updates that elevate the interior experience and driver convenience. Included are the following:

  • Bose 8-speaker sound system

  • Fake leather seat upholstery

  • Heated and ventilated front seats

  • Whopping front parking sensors

  • Elegantly-styled LED headlamps for the best of both worlds in nighttime visibility and swag

These updates get the SX+ trim as close to the fully loaded SX(O) trim as possible without the full price jump, and to top things off, the SX(SX+) is also a great selection for those who want something luxury style, but at less accessible pricing in a hurry.

Dependable Powertrain with Dual Transmission Options

Under the hood, the Verna SX+ also carries on with Hyundai’s long-standing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. Select between 6-speed manual or IVT (CVT) gearbox choices. This engine has a great reputation for good performance coupled with good efficiency, making it the perfect choice for city commutes or weekend highway trips!

Bonus Update: Wired-to-Wireless Adapter for 7 Models

As well as the launch of the Verna SX+ model, Hyundai has launched a wired-to-wireless adapter for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seven of its models - Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Venue, Aura, Venue N Line and Alcazar. This enhancement allows your smartphone to integrate largely wirelessly, while consumer expectations have evolved to a modern state in regard to smartphone usage, especially within motor vehicles.

With the SX+ variant, Hyundai continues to build technology-filled, feature-packed vehicles for the Indian buyer. If you are upgrading from a hatchback, or seeking a practical but luxurious sedan, the new Verna SX+ model would be a very good option to evaluate.
