Hyundai Creta Electric Gets a Price Hike in India Effective June 1, 2026

Hyundai India has revised the prices of the Creta Electric upwards for select variants with effect from June 1, 2026. The hike of Rs. 600 affects nine specific trims across both the 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery options. Despite the revision, the electric SUV remains one of the most accessible EVs in its class, with prices continuing to start below the Rs. 20 lakh mark, keeping it well within reach of the mainstream Indian buyer.

- Hyundai India has raised prices of the Creta Electric by Rs. 600 for nine select variants, effective June 1, 2026.

- Post-revision, the Creta Electric's price range now stands between Rs. 18.03 lakh and Rs. 24.55 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai India has confirmed a price revision for the Creta Electric, with the updated pricing coming into effect from June 1, 2026. The hike is modest, Rs. 600, but it applies to a specific set of variants, pushing the overall price range marginally higher than before.

Which Variants Have Been Affected

The price increase is not blanket. It targets nine variants within the Creta Electric range, namely the Executive 42kWh, Premium 42kWh dual-tone, Premium 42kWh HC, Premium 42kWh HC dual-tone, Excellence 42kWh, Excellence Knight Edition 42kWh, Excellence 42kWh dual-tone, Smart (O) LR 51.4kWh, and Excellence Knight Edition 42kWh dual-tone. All other variants in the lineup remain unaffected by the revision.

Updated Price Range After the Revision

Following the hike, the Hyundai Creta Electric is now priced between Rs. 18.03 lakh and Rs. 24.55 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

For context, that still places the entry-level variant well within the sub-Rs. 20 lakh bracket, a threshold that carries considerable weight in the Indian market. It is a relatively minor adjustment on paper, but for prospective buyers sitting on the fence, any upward movement tends to prompt a decision.

Battery Options and Claimed Range

The Creta Electric continues to be offered with two battery pack options.

The standard 42kWh unit carries a claimed range of 390km on a single charge, while the larger 51.4kWh pack is rated for 470km.

Both figures represent what Hyundai quotes under standard testing conditions and real-world range, as is typically the case with EVs, will vary based on usage patterns, traffic conditions, and driving style.

What This Means for Buyers

The Creta Electric has firmly established itself as one of the more popular electric SUVs in the Indian market, and a Rs. 600 revision is unlikely to shift that sentiment significantly. That said, those who were planning to purchase one of the affected variants in the near term may want to factor the updated pricing into their calculations.

The model remains a strong proposition in the mainstream EV space, balancing range, features, and price in a way that few rivals currently match at this price point.
