Honda City Sport Launched at ₹ 14.88 L – Sporty Limited Edition

Honda hits the sweet spot for spirited drivers with the City Sport. Priced at ₹14.88 lakh, it spotlights blacked‑out styling, red‑stitched leatherette, a tech‑rich cabin, and Honda Sensing ADAS—without tampering with the proven 1.5 L i‑VTEC engine.

Honda Cars India has introduced the City Sport, a limited-run variant of its popular mid-size sedan, priced at ₹14.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is geared toward younger buyers looking for style and flair. This model spices up the usual City formula without changing the core mechanics.

Black & Bold: Exterior Styling

Its distinguishing feature?

A striking blacked-out theme. The grille, trunk lip spoiler, shark-fin antenna, black ORVMs, and sporty grey multi-spoke alloy wheels all get dark treatment. A special Sport badge and glossy-black details enhance its youthful vibe, while available finishes include Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.

Cabin with Character

Inside, the City Sport carries on the dark theme, featuring all‑black leatherette seats highlighted with bold red stitching. Dashboard and door trims get red accents, complemented by glossy-black AC vents and blacked roof lining and pillars. The addition of 7‑colour ambient lighting elevates the cabin’s mood, offering a more immersive ambience.

Proven Powertrain, Smooth Performance

Honda wisely kept the tried-and-tested mechanical setup unchanged. Under the hood, the 1.5 L naturally-aspirated i‑VTEC petrol engine delivers 121 PS and 145 Nm, mated to a 7‑step CVT with paddle shifters—branded as Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology. The City Sport is also E20 fuel compatible and claims a fuel efficiency of 18.4 km/l.

Tech & Safety: Honda Sensing ADAS

Equipped with the Honda Sensing suite, this special edition includes essential driver-assist systems: lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, and more. These features add a much-appreciated layer of safety and convenience typical of high-end trims.

Value Proposition & Verdict

It is priced at Rs 49,000 above the standard V CVT variant. The City Sport brings leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, exclusive styling tweaks, and ADAS to the table, without compromising on the City’s existing strengths.

Additionally, it has been noted that despite missing some features like sunroof and rear AC vents, the Sport edition holds its ground as a mid-spec, feature-rich choice.

In a market leaning heavily toward SUVs, Honda’s limited-edition City Sport injects fresh energy into the sedan segment. It enriches Honda’s lineup by offering stylish flair, safety technology, and familiar performance, stacked together in a package made for enthusiasts seeking a dapper, dynamic ride.

This exclusive City Sport stays true to Honda’s legacy: combining thoughtful enhancements with dependable engineering. The bold black styling, driver‑assist tech, and spirited driving dynamics make it a compelling choice for those who want more than just transport—they want personality.
