Hero Motocorp has revealed its sales for May, which stands at 5,19,474 as opposed to 4,86,704 units sold for the same period in 2022.
This translates to a 7 per cent growth on a Year Over Year basis. The motorcycle sales stood at 4,89,336 units, and the scooter sales registered at 30,138 units. On the other hand, domestic sales registered 5,08,309 units, and exports stood at 11,165 units.
The company sold 3,96,107 units for April as opposed to 4,18,622 units sold for the same period in 2022. The company witnessed a dip in sales for the month of April but got right back up in May.
The company also introduced the new Xpulse 200 4V at Rs. 1.43 lakh for the base variant, and the Pro is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh. The bike gets a redesigned “H” shaped LED headlamp unit and ride modes as the update. It still uses a 199.6-cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed gearbox that pushes a good 19.1 bhp and 17.35 Nm of torque. The bike tips the scales at 158 kg and has a ground clearance of 220mm and a seat height of 825 mm.
Braking is handled by a 276 mm disc up front and 220 mm at the rear on 21 and 18-inch tyres, respectively. It has a 13-litre tank and a fully digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
