Pays attention to the limited run and driver-centric design of the new model.
Powertrain, weight reduction, chassis, and design modifications are the main highlights.
Bentley has made a significant change in focus with the release of the most recent version of their asset-rich grand tourer, the Continental GT Supersports. This version of the Continental GT places more focus on driver engagement, lightness, and layout purity than previous models that prioritized luxury, hybrid drivetrains, and all-wheel drive.
Performance & Powertrain
A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which completely replaces hybrid technologies, produces 657 horsepower (666 PS) and 800 Nm of torque under the hood. Bentley reports a top speed of about 310 km/h (about 192 mph) and a 0-100 km/h time of about 3.7 seconds.
Layout, weight savings, and chassis
The move to rear-wheel drive, which is the first for the Continental GT line, is arguably the most noticeable. With a two-seat cabin, less sound deadening, a carbon-fibre roof panel, and several aerodynamic improvements that provide over 300 kg more downforce than the GT Speed, the body has been much lighter.
As a result, the curb weight is reduced to less than 2,000 kg, making this the lightest Bentley in many years.
Production and design specifics
The Supersports' exterior features include the biggest front splitter ever installed on a Bentley road car, carbon-fibre dive planes, side sills, fender blades, a fixed rear wing, and a full-length titanium exhaust system created in collaboration with Akrapovič to produce a true V8 sound.
Its combination of luxury and purpose is further reinforced by lightweight yet elegant sports seats and performance-focused materials inside the simplified interior.
Orders will open in March 2026, and production will start in Q4 2026. Only 500 uniquely numbered examples will be manufactured worldwide.
Why Bentley's Performance Future Is Redefined by This Model
Bentley is signaling a return to the fundamentals of driving—precision, balance, and engagement, by eschewing hybrid complication and all-wheel drive in favor of rear-wheel drive and reduced weight. In a market that is becoming more and more dominated by high-performance hybrids and electric vehicles, the revival of the Supersports label to signify not only speed but also driver focus may appeal to fans.
