What the most recent teaser shows about the Mahindra XEV 9S

The upscale cabin of Mahindra's future XEV 9S electric SUV has been teased once more. It features a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon music system, a triple-screen layout, and flexible sliding second-row seats. The seven-seater model, which is based on the exclusive INGLO EV platform, will make its world premiere at the "Scream Electric" event on November 27. The XEV 9S intends to establish itself as a roomy, tech-focused family EV in India's expanding electric SUV market, with an anticipated cost in the ₹21–30 lakh range.

  • Mahindra's next-generation electric SUV's key characteristics are revealed in a new teaser.

  • Launched on November 27, the future seven-seater EV is packed with high-end technology and styling.

Mahindra is getting ready to introduce its first full-size, three-row electric SUV, the XEV 9S, which was created entirely on the INGLO skateboard platform.

On November 27, 2025, Mahindra's "Scream Electric" event in Bengaluru will mark the world premiere. The pricing may be between ₹21 to ₹30 lakh ex-showroom, according to industry reports.

Highlights of the features and interior

High-tech cabin

Similar to Mahindra's previous Born-Electric models, the most recent teaser depicts a full-black interior with a triple-screen arrangement: a digital driver display, a central infotainment, and a passenger-facing screen.

Previous teasers also showed sliding second-row seats and a panoramic sunroof.

High-end details and sound

Mahindra confirmed that the XEV 9S will have a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function and a Harman Kardon sound system that probably supports Dolby Atmos.

Toggle-style power-window controls and other design cues from Mahindra's current electric SUVs are also included in the cabin.

Platform and performance

The XEV 9S has the adaptability and EV-specific design of a three-row SUV thanks to Mahindra's INGLO platform.

With stated ranges of around 542 km and 656 km under MIDC test cycles, it is anticipated to share two battery options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, and a single-motor rear-wheel drive layout with its brothers (XEV 9e and BE 6).

Why Mahindra's Launch Is a Game-Changer?

With this launch, Mahindra enters the more upscale 7-seater EV market, where there is currently little competition in India. Mahindra appears to seek to connect volume EV positioning with premium appeal based on the feature set and pricing. The XEV 9S is expected to be notable for its technology, seating capacity, and dedicated EV architecture, according to the teaser.
