Upcoming Petrol Cars

Even though there is a rise in demand and innovation regarding Electric Cars, there is no doubt that the hype for Petrol Cars is the same as usual. The Petrol Cars, being the original gangsters in the auto-world, the new launches are always something which people look out for. From a ride to the future, presenting you the new upcoming cars in India, running on petrol, in no particular order.

List of Upcoming Petrol Cars

1. Hyundai Staria:

Expected to launch as early as January 2024, the new in design Hyundai Staria MPV brings a combination of seating arrangements, going up to an 11-seater car. Speculations suggest that both a petrol and a hybrid variant will be offered by the Car Manufacturer. Hyundai Staria is rumoured to feature a 10.25 touchscreen based infotainment system, along with electric drive mode selector and 18-inch alloy wheels. It is expected to be priced around INR 20 lakh and would stand against the likes of MUVs such as Toyota Innova Crysta and Kia Carnival.

2 Kia Sonet Facelift (2024)

This upcoming car is one of the most hyped ones to be launched in India. Estimated with a starting price of around INR 8 lakh, Kia Sonet 2024 would be locking horns with Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Renault Kiger. The model is expected to be the same 5 seater. With 6 safety airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC) and TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system). Kia is ensuring to take on the rivals "SAFELY". Rumoured to be coming in a 5-speed manual 1.2l petrol engine or a turbo-petrol based 6-speed iMT, power won't be an issue for this beauty and the beast packed in one.

3. Hyundai Creta Facelift (2024)

The specialised list of upcoming cars in India 2024 would not be worth it without the favourite of all time, the Hyundai Creta, with its 2024 facelift around the corner. One of the most popular SUVs till date, the car is set for a popular upcoming facelift by the end of Jan 2024. Among the petrol cars which are expected to be launched in the next three months, the automaker of Creta has ensured the hype remains long. The features of this car include a 10.25 inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a fully digital 10.25 inch driver's display. With wireless phone charger, an air purifier, ventilated and heated front seats and a sunroof with panoramic vision, the innovations by popular EV brands for electric cars in India, have ensured that the petrol ones don't lag behind in customer technology. The model is expected to go on sale in India in the year 2024-2025 with a starting price of around 10.9 lakh INR.

4. Hyundai Stargazer

While we cannot present you the list of all upcoming cars, we can surely tell that just mentioning some of them can take on others. One such name is Hyundai Stargazer. While the car price is not yet revealed, it is estimated to start at INR 9.6 lakh and go up till INR 17 lakh. While the old-schools can compare this MPV to 1 minivan, the multi-purpose vehicle is the "star" of the lot. Launching by late Sep 2024, it stands with full LED DRLs, vertical tail lamps and a six-seat layout. If the rumours are to be believed, this model is launched in Indonesia with rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, blind spot avoidance, and lane-keep assist. Both Manual and Automatic (CVT) transmission configurations are powered with a 1.5l single petrol engine. The car is expected to take on the likes of Tata Harrier EV, Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Toyota Innova Crysta.

5. Mahindra Five-Door Thar

One of the most anticipated upcoming cars in 2024. Set an alert for August 2024, because the beloved Thar is getting a 5 door revamp. Rumoured to be available in both automatic and manual transmissions, it will feature a new set of alloy wheels. If the reports are to be believed the automaker is planning nine new launches in India in 2024-2026. The AdrenoX Infotainment system, a new steering wheel, USB type-C ports and an auto-dimming IRVM are some of the highlights of this lion. Under the hood, mHawk series engines are rumoured to power this offroader.

6. Maruti Suzuki New-gen Swift

With the last year being record breaking in terms of sales, Maruti is all set to aim to make the Maruti Suzuki Swift the most popular petrol car in 2024. While the list lacks sedans, due to limited knowledge about the upcoming ones. The Maruti Swift is here to represent the hatchbacks.
