Volkswagen Cuts Prices After GST 2.0 – Up to Rs 3.27 Lakh

Volkswagen has revised prices across its lineup following GST 2.0 implementation, making both its mainstream cars and CBU imports more affordable. While the Virtus and Taigun get cuts of up to Rs 67,000 and Rs 68,000, the Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI see even steeper reductions of more than Rs 2 lakh, bringing fresh value to the festive season.

The car pricing in the industry has changed due to the introduction of GST 2.0, and Volkswagen has been fast in aligning its lineup to the same. The brand has reduced prices of its fashionable Virtus and Taigun, but also offered massive benefits on the high-end models of CBU, such as Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI.

These will see the Volkswagen vehicles greatly competitive at the time when the festive-season demand is likely to hit its peak.

Virtus - Volkswagen Top Seller is Discounted

The Volkswagen Virtus, which is currently contributing to the sale of approximately 55 per cent of the monthly sales of the brand in India, is now giving savings that range between the range of Rs 40,000 to Rs 67,000.

The start spec 1.0 TSI Comfortline MT model has been reduced to Rs 11.16 lakh, but high spec variants with 1.5 TSI GT Plus DSG have been cut at Rs 18.49 lakh plus 18.73 lakh and trimmed by over Rs 66,000. These changes reinforce the argument that the Virtus makes over its competitors, such as the Honda City and Hyundai Verna.

Taigun - Commercial SUV Kids will be Beneficiaries

GST 2.0 also favours the Volkswagen Taigun since it was priced cut by 41,000 to 68,000. The 1.0 TSI streamlined comfort line MT model has gone down to 11.39 lakh, and the high-end model 1.5 TSI GT Plus DSG models are below 19.20 lakh. This makes Taigun a more aggressive alternative to other SUV products available in the market, like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, or Skoda Kushaq to buyers of SUVs.

Premium Imports – Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI See Big Drops

The largest cuts are directed towards the imports of the CBU of Volkswagen. The Tiguan R-Line has had an amazing reduction of Rs 3.27 lakh, and it is being sold at a price 45.73 lakh.

In the same breath, the Golf GTI, which is a performance icon, experiences the elimination of Rs 2.09 lakh in price decrease, leaving the product at Rs 50.91 lakh. These changes go hand in hand with the elimination of further cess on premium cars under GST 2.0.

Conclusion

Cutting off and down to Rs 3.27 lakh, the course of pricing in Volkswagen comes on time during the festive season. It can be the mass-market Virtus and Taigun as well as niche Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI, but the consumers have more to think about the choices of Volkswagen.
