Citroen Aircross X Teased Ahead of Festive Launch

Citroen has released a fresh teaser for the upcoming Aircross X, set to debut in the festive season. The SUV gets feature upgrades like ventilated seats, LED lighting, cruise control, and Citroen’s new Cara AI voice assistant, though no mechanical changes are expected from the existing petrol engine options.

Citroen India has unveiled a fresh teaser of Aircross X, a week before it is likely to be launched over the festive season. The teaser gives a spotlight on new upholstery, front ventilated seats, and no less striking a new shade of green on the exterior.

The SUV will similarly have a full LED lighting package, cruise control and an optional 360-degree camera to make it more convenient and safe. Coupling of new features, one of the largest ones is the launch of the Citroen Cara AI voice assistant, which will at least be present on the highest-tier model.

Third Citroen Model to receive the X package

The Aircross X is the third Citroen in India to have the brand name X treatment, others being Basalt X and others. The importance of this is in the fact that it will also become the biggest vehicle to have this special pack within Citroen.

The target of this action is to enhance Citroen's popularity within the rather compact and mid-size SUV consumer category, particularly at the time of heightened customer demand through cars with advanced technologies and extensive features.

Mechanical and Powertrain Specifications

Although the engine line-up will be kept, the Aircross X will use the other freshly added cosmetics and features. The buyers may anticipate the conventional 1.2 litre NA petrol and the more potent 1.2 litre forced turbo petrol engine. The transmission choices will be 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission (AT), depending on the variant. It implies that the driving dynamics will completely remain the same, with the beautifications being mostly comfort-based, fashionable, and tech-focused.

A portion of the Larger India Strategy of Citroen

The Aircross X introduction fits into Citroen's greater ambitions for India, which involve the introduction of updated models that would have more upscale edges. Following the Aircross X, the brand is then expected to move on to the eC3 electric-powered change of hatchback, but it is not clear whether it will follow the same identity as the X.
