Updated Skoda Kushaq Spotted Testing with Fresh Lights and ADAS

Skoda's popular Kushaq is preparing for a thorough mid-cycle overhaul that will add sharper styling, advanced Level 2 ADAS and a new automatic gearbox. Latest spy snaps reveal slimmer headlights, linked rear lamps and a slightly taller stance, all promising a bolder road presence ahead of its expected debut later this year or in early 2026.

Since launching in 2021, the Kushaq has carved out a strong place in India's compact SUV segment, and now it is set for a meaningful facelift.

On-road images show the 2025 update adopting cleaner lines, fresh technology and crucially, Level 2 ADAS to match rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate.

Refreshed Styling & Cosmetic Changes

The refreshed Kushaq now sits on the road with greater authority, courtesy of sharper LED lamps, a subtly altered grille, and a bolder, boxier lower air intake. Standing a little more upright up front, the SUV wears a beefier posture that hints at hidden muscle.

The well-known silhouette still reads the same, yet gets smarter black alloy wheels. Around back, a slimmer, linked LED cluster and fine-tuned bumper edges polish the look without losing familiarity.

Few cabin shots have leaked, but new trim finishes, mood lighting, and upgraded fabrics seem likely. Fresh colour themes should also arrive to clearly mark this facelifted model apart from its forebear.

ADAS Level 2 Safety Upgrade

Inside that sharper shell sits Skoda's first ADAS Level 2 suite, a notable jump for the Kushaq. Lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise and emergency braking form a comforting trio designed to ease long jaunts. With this kit the SUV finally mirrors key rivals while backing up its solid five-star Global NCAP badge.

Powertrains Retained, But 8-speed AT Coming

Engine choices stay the same, sticking with the familiar 1.0-litre (115PS) and 1.5-litre (150PS) TSI petrol units. The headline change is a switch on the 1.0-litre from the old 6-speed auto to a new Aisin 8-speed torque converter, planned for late 2026. The fresh box aims to squeeze out extra mileage and tick the latest CAFE III pollution rules.

Launch Timeline & Price Expectations

Expect the Kushaq facelift late 2025 or early 2026; top models will cost more because of new tech. At present, showroom prices sit between 11 lakh and 19 lakh.

By rolling out these upgrades, Skoda keeps the Kushaq sharp and ready for battle in India's fierce compact-SUV arena.
