Hyundai Venue (QU2i) ‘The second-generation Hyundai Venue’ is expected to launch in October 2025. The compact SUV, which has been on sale since 2019, will be fully redesigned with a refreshed design, a bigger infotainment screen, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The prices will probably exceed the current values of Rs. 7.94-13.62 lakh.
Hyundai is also working on a crossover based on the Bayon to be introduced in the middle of 2026. Nestled between the Exter and the Venue, it will come with ADAS and will share its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid powertrain with the i20 and the Venue.
The fully electric Hyundai Inster, scheduled to right towards the end of 2026, will be available with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery sizes and WLTP ranges of 300km and 355 km. The Inster will be Hyundai's cheapest EV in India, to be charged at 125 kW DC fast charging.
Kia Electric Drive
Kia is also putting high stakes on electrification with the Syros EV, which will hit the market in March 2026. Derived from the beefed-up K1 platform, the Syros EV will share many components with its ICE counterpart with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery packs available with ranges up to 355km. Prices range approximately to Rs. 14 - 20 lakh.
The updated Kia Sonet (2027) will be more daring in design, have bigger wheels, Level 2 ADAS, enhanced safety. There is also a consideration of an all-electric Sonet EV.
Mahindra Vision concepts
Mahindra will further launch its two futuristic concept cars, Vision S and Vision X which are less than 4 metres long and come in different body styles in the coming 2027.
Based on the NU-IQ platform, the SUVs will be compatible with ICE, hybrid and EV powertrains. Its styling tips it to unveil first the retro-inspired Vision S.
Tata’s Next-Gen Nexon
The next-gen Tata Nexon (codename Garud) will ride on a modified X1 platform and have wide design and features updates with the model celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2027. It will remain in turbo-petrol and CNG options but Tata might add a hybrid to maintain a match with competitors.
