Toyota, in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, is gearing up to introduce its latest offering in the Indian market – the Taisor crossover. The much-anticipated vehicle, based on the Fronx platform, marks the sixth product to emerge from the Maruti-Toyota partnership. In a recent development, Toyota has tantalized enthusiasts with the release of the first teaser video, providing a glimpse into the Taisor's refreshed exterior design.
The teaser offers a sneak peek at several key elements of the Taisor's exterior enhancements. Notable features include LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) reminiscent of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder variant, a distinctive honeycomb-patterned grille, and a stylish connected LED taillight configuration. Additionally, viewers catch a glimpse of the Taisor adorned in a striking new orange exterior paint option. Expectations are high for tweaked bumpers to further distinguish the Taisor from its Maruti Fronx counterpart.

Inside the cabin, observers anticipate a departure from the donor vehicle's theme, with the Taisor likely to feature a unique interior design. However, similarities are expected in terms of equipment, with the crossover anticipated to inherit the same feature-rich offerings as the Fronx. These include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, and automatic climate control with rear vents. Safety features are also set to impress, with expectations of up to six airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), a 360-degree camera, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Under the hood, Toyota is expected to leverage the same powertrains as the Fronx for the Taisor. This includes both petrol and CNG options, with the latter anticipated to debut post the petrol variant's launch, mirroring Maruti's strategy with the Fronx.
Enthusiasts eagerly await the official unveiling of the Toyota Taisor, scheduled for April 3. Anticipated to be competitively priced, with a starting figure of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), the Taisor is poised to rival popular sub-4m SUVs in the Indian market. These include contenders such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Hyundai Venue.
With excitement building ahead of its imminent launch, the Toyota Taisor promises to make a significant impact in the burgeoning crossover segment, offering consumers a compelling blend of style, features, and performance.
