Australia will welcome the electric SUV Skoda Enyaq in July, and the Czech automaker is considering adding a high-end L&K model to the lineup.
The brand's most opulent trim level, known as L&K, is called after Laurin & Klement, the name of the company that preceded Skoda and was named after its founders. According to official government records, the Enyaq is authorized for sale in this country in L&K and Sportline trim levels with a single motor, as well as a dual-motor all-wheel drive RS model.

Skoda has never sold any of its models in this country in an L&K version. The Enyaq lineup for the local market and whether the electric vehicle (EV) will be available in regular SUV or coupe SUV body styles, or both, have not yet been announced by the company.
Skoda Enyaq: Exterior & Interior
Exterior: The Sportline is distinguished by its black grille, unique black-accented front bumper treatment, and black mirror caps. In contrast, the L&K is equipped with platinum grey detailing and an illuminated Crystal Face grille that has 18 vertical strips and a 130 LED horizontal band. The L&K is equipped with 20-inch 'Asterion' anthracite alloy wheels as standard, with the option to upgrade to 21-inch alloys and a panoramic sunroof.
Interior: Perforated leather upholstery covers the interior, and the front seats include massage, ventilation, and heating. The interior color options are light beige or black, with cognac brown piping in both.
Skoda Enyaq: Powertrain
Only the '85' powertrain, which consists of a single 210kW electric motor on the rear axle, is offered with it. Its 0-100 km/h sprint time is 6.7 seconds. Now capable of producing 250kW of power, the dual-motor all-wheel drive system powers the flagship Enyaq RS. It is one second faster than the pre-update model, covering the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.5 seconds.
The 82kWh battery used in the 85 and RS models can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 28 minutes thanks to its maximum DC charging rate of 175kW. While the RS range ranges from 541 km to 547 km, the Sportline offers 534 km in coupe form and 528 km in wagon form on the WLTP cycle. The stated range of the L&K wagon is 550 kilometers.
Skoda Enyaq: Price
The Enyaq's pricing has not yet been made official by Skoda Australia, although managing director Michael Irmer stated in June of last year that "we will offer the car with everything."
All electric cars, Mr. Irmer continued, "cost a bit more upfront," implying that the entry-level Enyaq 85 would start at "certainly [at least] a couple of thousand dollars" more than the Kodiaq RS. The drive-away price of the petrol-powered SUV is currently $76,890.
