Tesla Model S and X Recalled

Tesla has issued a recall for certain Model S and Model X vehicles due to potential safety concerns. The recall addresses specific components related to seat belt functionality. Tesla is proactively addressing these issues to ensure the safety of its customers. If you own one of the affected vehicles, it's advisable to contact Tesla promptly to schedule the necessary repairs and updates. This commitment to safety underscores Tesla's dedication to delivering high-quality and secure electric vehicles to its users.

Tesla has recalled 16,000 Model S and Model X regarding a seat belt issue.

Electric carmaker Tesla has recalled 16,000 Model S and Model X manufactured between 2021-2023 over a seat belt issue. The front row seat belts may not be connected adequately to the pre-tensioner anchors and thus it could lead to detachment. The issue impacts both front seats and Tesla has planned to conduct inspections to do the needful. The company will replace the entire assembly of the car with the faulty seat belts without charging the customer. The company has received 12 warranty claims regarding the issue, but no crash or injuries have been reported yet because of the issue.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that if the seat belt is not connected to the pre-tensioner anchor as per the specifications. There are chances of disconnection during regular operations.

The company has also issued another recall of 1,337 units of the 2023 Model S, Model X and Model Y over the alignment of the forward-facing camera. The camera assists a lot of active safety features such as forward collision warning, lane assist and emergency braking to name a few. The company has registered 83 warranty claims and two field reports regarding the camera alignment issue. The company will rectify the issue by adjusting the pitch angle of the cameras on the faulty cars.
