Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Debuts on April 09, with a New Gearbox and Revised Styling
What Is New Under the Bonnet
The Volkswagen Taigun facelift marks the SUV's first major revision since 2021 and follows the recently updated Skoda Kushaq on the same MQB-A0-IN platform. The most significant mechanical change is a new eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox paired with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, while other powertrain options remain unchanged.
Design and Cabin Updates to Expect
On the outside, expect Tiguan-like connected LED headlights, an illuminated VW logo, and sleeker LED taillights. Inside, a larger 10.25-inch driver's display is anticipated, along with a panoramic sunroof expected to arrive at a later stage.
Whether the Kushaq's segment-only rear massaging seats will make it to the Taigun remains to be seen. Prices are estimated between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 21 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz CLA Arrival Expected on April 24 as India's Most Awaited Entry-Level Luxury EV
Platform, Range, and Variants
Built on Mercedes-Benz's new MMA platform, the all-electric CLA replaces the A-Class sedan as well as the EQA and EQB electric SUVs in India. It will be offered in CLA 200 and CLA 250+ variants, the latter packing an 85 kWh battery and a WLTP-claimed range of up to 792 km.
Styling, Features, and Expected Price
The exterior comes with an AMG Line styling package as standard, star-shaped LED lights on a blanked-off grille, 18-inch rims, and connected taillights featuring a mix of U- and star-shaped illuminated segments.
A drag coefficient of 0.21Cd keeps things aerodynamically efficient. Inside, a dual-screen layout with a 14-inch infotainment running MB.OS, a glass roof, a 101-litre frunk, and front seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions round out the package. Prices are expected between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 59 lakh.
MG Majestor Steps Up as the Brand's New Diesel Flagship
Engine, Drivetrain, and Trims

Two trims, Sharp and Savvy, will be on offer, with the top variant giving buyers a choice between six and seven seats.
Design, Interior, and Booking Status
Its boxy silhouette is complemented by a large grille, vertically stacked LED headlights, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and flared wheel arches with black cladding. At the rear, connected LED tail-lights and twin exhaust outlets give it a purposeful stance.
Inside, the Majestor features a soft-touch dashboard, dual 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS suite.
Pre-bookings are already open across four colour options, with deliveries scheduled for May. Prices are estimated between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh.
