Skoda Kylaq Prices Revised in India for Select Variants in India

Skoda Auto India has quietly updated the pricing of its compact SUV, the Kylaq, affecting a few mid and higher variants. While the entry-level model stays the same, buyers considering popular trims may now need to factor in a higher on-road cost, making this update important for anyone planning a purchase in the segment.

  • Skoda Auto India has increased the ex-showroom prices of select Kylaq variants by up to ₹33,000.

  • The base Classic variant remains unchanged, while many mid-range and higher trims now cost more.

Skoda Auto India has recently updated the pricing of its popular SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, with a fresh round of hikes on select variants. These increases take effect immediately and aim to align the company’s pricing with rising costs and competitive market dynamics.

What’s Changed?

The recent price revision impacts multiple trims of the Kylaq lineup, with the hike varying by variant:

  1. Popular trims such as Signature MT, Signature AT, Signature+ MT, and Signature+ AT have seen a ₹33,000 increase.

  2. The Prestige MT and Prestige AT variants have also been marked up by approximately ₹24,000.

  3. The entry-level Classic 1.0 TSI remains priced at ₹7.59 lakh (ex-showroom), unchanged.

Following these changes, the Kylaq’s ex-showroom price range now roughly ranges from ₹7.59 lakh to ₹12.99 lakh, depending on the variant and transmission option. Interestingly, Skoda recently expanded Kylaq’s lineup with new Classic+ and Prestige+ variants, offering buyers more choices at both ends of the price spectrum and those launch prices remain stable despite the broader revision.

What Buyers Should Know

The compact SUV runs on a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces around 113.4 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. It’s available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, making it a versatile choice for city and highway driving alike.

Across variants, the Kylaq offers features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and a modern safety suite including six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and ISOFIX anchors.

For prospective buyers, the marginal increase - while modest compared to some rivals - may influence decisions around financing, ownership costs and insurance brackets. However, the Kylaq’s feature set, engine efficiency, and feature availability across trims continue to make it an appealing option in the sub-4m SUV class.
