The Kodiaq RS arrives as the most powerful and priciest Skoda ever sold in India, sitting well above the standard range.
It brings a stronger 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, all-wheel drive and a host of sporty design and cabin updates.
Skoda has introduced the Kodiaq RS in India at Rs 66.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The fully imported performance SUV commands a premium of Rs 20 lakh over the range-topping Selection L&K trim, which continues to be assembled locally.
Demand for the new flagship has already proven strong, with the first batch of 50 units selling out within six minutes of bookings opening on June 22, 2026. Skoda is yet to confirm whether a second batch will be brought into the country.
Skoda Kodiaq Price List Across Variants
The Kodiaq range in India now spans from Rs 36.99 lakh to Rs 66.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The Lounge variant is priced at Rs 36.99 lakh, followed by the Sportline at Rs 44.99 lakh and the Selection L&K at Rs 46.99 lakh. The new RS trim sits at the top of the lineup at Rs 66.99 lakh.
Engine And Performance Upgrades On The Kodiaq RS
Power comes from the EA888 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, tuned to deliver 265hp and 400Nm in the RS. This marks a jump of 61hp and 80Nm over the standard Kodiaq.
Drive is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and Skoda claims a 0 to 100kph sprint time of 6.3 seconds, which the carmaker says makes this the quickest Skoda model ever offered in India.
Beyond outright performance, the RS also gains progressive steering that adjusts its ratio depending on lock angle, along with adaptive dampers offering 15 settings ranging from soft to firm.
Design And Cabin Changes On The Kodiaq RS
While the silhouette remains familiar, the Kodiaq RS wears a sportier look through more aggressive bumpers, RS badging on the grille and tailgate, larger 20-inch alloy wheels, a slightly bigger roof spoiler and polished dual exhaust tips finished in stainless steel.
Glossy black detailing extends across the grille, mirror caps, upper window frames, roof rails and D-pillar. Buyers can choose from four exterior colours, namely Velvet Red, Magic Black, Moon White and Steel Grey.
Inside, the cabin gets red cross-stitching on the seats, steering wheel and dashboard, along with RS branding embossed on the seats and a textured metal finish on the door and dashboard inlays.
Equipment includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display with sportier graphics, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control and powered front seats with ventilation, heating, massage and memory functions.
Sound comes courtesy of a 13-speaker Canton system with a subwoofer, while safety kit includes a 360-degree camera, driver assistance systems and nine airbags.
How The Kodiaq RS Compares To Its Rival
The Kodiaq RS goes up against the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, a seven-seat SUV built locally in India and priced considerably lower at Rs 46.99 lakh. However, the Tayron uses a less powerful 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit and does not offer adaptive damper technology, giving the Kodiaq RS an edge on both performance and ride sophistication.
