Renault has unveiled the veils of the highly anticipated 2025 Kiger facelift, which has a price tag of between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The upgraded compact luxury SUV has a new styling, added features, and improved safety measures, and preserves its recognized petrol engine line-up, after a two-week teaser episode.
Unusual-Trim Prices and Trims
The updated Kiger offers four variants, but with different names now: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
Prices have gone up by a small amount only, with the entry-level Authentic being priced at Rs 6.30 lakh as compared to the earlier price of Rs 6.15 lakh, a difference of Rs 15,000.
The range-topping Emotion CVT turbo-petrol is priced at Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom), about Rs 7,000 more than the RXZ CVT that it replaces.
Interestingly, Renault has made dualtone colours complimentary on Turbo variants, whereas the naturally aspirated version comes as a premium product costing 23,000 extra.
Powertrain Options Continue Unchanged
As before, the Kiger facelift is offered with two petrol engines:
A 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 5-speed manual or AMT.
A 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 5-speed manual or CVT.
This versatility makes buyers have a choice of favoring either affordability or a higher performance.
Renovations Inside and Out
The Kiger facelift also features a more energetic look with new front and rear bumpers, a refreshed Renault logo, retouched headlight and fog lamp assemblies, all new alloy wheel patterns and new green and yellow colour highlights. Dual-tone at no additional cost is also offered over the Turbo variants.
The inside has been given a touch up with a black and light grey theme dashboard. On the highest trim, the customers would see features like ventilated front seats, wireless charging, auto headlamps and wipers and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity to a smartphone.
Increased Safety as Standard
Among the biggest highlights is that six airbags now come standard across the 2025 Kiger line. Other major features introduced are electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist and a 360-degree camera on the higher trim.
Conclusion
The new Renault Kiger facelift has a sharper design, additional features, and significant enhancements in the safety department, pushing it a step closer to being a competitive offering in the competitive compact SUV segment. As a premium feature SUV with only a slight increase in prices, Renault has come up with the optimum packaging to cater to their customers just before the festival season.
