New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle India Launch On July 5

New Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle India Launch On July 5

Mark your calendars! The much-awaited collaboration between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles is set to hit the Indian roads on July 5. The joint venture aims to bring together Bajaj's expertise in value-driven engineering and Triumph's legacy of high-performance motorcycles. This launch promises to introduce a new era of biking excitement, offering riders a perfect blend of style, technology, and power. Motorcycle enthusiasts can anticipate a thrilling experience as the curtain rises on this exciting partnership.

Triumph Motorcycles is all ready to introduce one of the two motorcycles it has built in partnership with Bajaj on July 5, this will be shortly after the global debut on 27 June in London, United Kingdom.

Both companies have been working together on two new bikes, a roadster and a scrambler housing a 400 cc engine. We can expect the bikes to be manufactured at Bajaj’s facility at Chakan, Pune.

In terms of design, the bike is likely to have a typical Triumph urban-retro styling with an off-set fuel cap on the tank, ribbed bench seats, round headlamp and tail lamp units, and maybe an off-set dash. The feature list could include upside-down forks up front, mono-shock at the rear, disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS, traction control, a slipper clutch, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation to name a few.

Both bikes are expected to be housing the same engine with different mappings and body styles. The 400 cc engine is likely to make 40-45 bhp of power and will come coupled with a six-speed gearbox. The entry-level mid-capacity space has been dominated by Royal Enfield, and recently TVS with its Ronin and Honda with its CB 350 RS and the Highness 350 have entered this space. The segment is brimming with options when it comes to urban retro bikes along with naked roadsters like the KTM Duke 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 400 to name a few.

As a part of the partnership, the dealer network will be expanded to cater to the availability of these upcoming affordable bikes. The current reach of 15 cities will be hiked to 120 over the course of two years. A lot will depend on the pricing of the bikes upon launch.
