Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Arrives New Features Design And Powertrain Detailed

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Arrives: New Features, Design, and Powertrain Detailed

Hyundai has introduced the new Alcazar facelift, a feature-rich SUV based on an elongated Creta platform. Aimed at taking on rivals such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and Kia Carens, the Alcazar facelift comes with a bold design, enhanced comfort features, and powerful engine options. Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the updated Alcazar is already reaching showrooms across India, starting at Rs 14.99 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel variant (ex-showroom).

New Design and Exterior Features

The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar brings an evolved design, with changes primarily noticeable in the front and rear. One of the highlights is the new H-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) integrated into the front fascia, which complements the larger grille and revamped bumper. The silver faux skid plate adds a rugged feel to the vehicle, and the newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels complete the facelifted look. While 19-inch wheels could have been more aesthetically impactful, the current size balances style and performance.

The rear of the Alcazar facelift is perhaps its most striking feature. The vertical tail lamps with connected LED signatures lend the SUV a modern, futuristic appeal. The new rear bumper design seamlessly integrates with the rest of the exterior, providing a balanced look that sets it apart from its predecessor.

Interior Upgrades

Hyundai has significantly improved the interior of the Alcazar facelift. The layout borrows heavily from the Creta facelift, featuring twin 10.2-inch displays—one for the infotainment system and the other as a fully digital instrument cluster. The center console has been redesigned to house more modern features and controls, enhancing the overall user experience.

The Alcazar facelift offers a premium ambiance inside the cabin, thanks to a new Noble Brown and Haze Navy color theme. Leatherette seats, along with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, uplift the cabin's luxurious feel. Hyundai has also focused on enhancing passenger comfort, adding ventilated seats for both the first and second rows—a feature highly appreciated in India's hot climate.

Rear passengers benefit from new adjustable under-thigh support, winged headrests, and a dedicated wireless charging pad, ensuring longer trips are more comfortable. Additionally, Type-C USB ports and Bluetooth digital keys have been added for increased convenience.

Loaded with High-Tech Features

The Alcazar facelift is equipped with a host of advanced features, some of which are first-in-segment offerings. The driver’s seat now comes with memory function, allowing multiple users to save their seating preferences. The Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) adds to the vehicle's safety credentials, offering features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision warning.

Another significant addition is the 360-degree camera system, which helps drivers navigate tight parking spaces with ease. Combined with the panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and the dual-tone interior finish, the Alcazar provides a tech-savvy and premium experience to its occupants.

Performance

Under the hood, the Alcazar facelift continues with the same reliable 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 158 bhp of power and 253 Nm of torque. The petrol variant is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, ensuring smooth performance both in the city and on highways.

The diesel variant, which continues to be a popular option in this segment, is powered by a 1.5L engine paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This setup provides a blend of power and efficiency, catering to buyers looking for long-distance comfort and fuel economy.

Trims and Pricing

Hyundai offers the Alcazar facelift in four primary trims—Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature—across 6-seater (6S) and 7-seater (7S) configurations. The top-spec Signature trim is the most feature-loaded, including everything from the Level-2 ADAS system to ventilated seats and a memory function for the driver’s seat. The Signature variant is the most premium offering, giving buyers all the bells and whistles, including captain seats in the second row for the 6S variant.

Conclusion

With the facelift, Hyundai Alcazar has reinforced its position in the competitive 7-seater SUV segment. The upgrades in both exterior styling and interior comfort make it a strong contender against rivals like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700. With advanced tech features, improved comfort, and robust engine options, the Alcazar facelift provides a compelling package for Indian families seeking a versatile, stylish, and feature-rich SUV.

As units start arriving at dealerships, prospective buyers can expect an SUV that blends modern technology with Hyundai's hallmark reliability and comfort. Starting at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Alcazar facelift is set to strengthen its presence in the Indian SUV market.
