2024 Kia Sonet Facelift: Fuel Efficiency & Exciting Features Revealed

Kia is all set to unveil the 2024 Sonet facelift in India, generating immense expectations among car enthusiasts. The recent revelation of the revamped Sonet has ignited excitement, prompting dealerships to kick off bookings for this updated compact SUV with an initial amount of ₹25,000.

Let's delve deeper into the fuel efficiency aspects across the various engine options of the new Sonet.

The 2024 Kia Sonet is going to offer three distinct engine variants: a compact 1.2-liter petrol, a turbocharged 1-liter petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel, all featuring manual gearboxes as standard.

Starting with the smaller petrol engine equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, Kia claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 18.83 kilometers per liter. Moving on to the turbocharged petrol engine, available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic transmission, the fuel efficiency figures stand at 18.7 kilometers per liter and 19.2 kilometers per liter, respectively.

In the diesel variant, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, Kia boasts an outstanding fuel efficiency of 22.3 kilometers per liter. Additionally, there's an automatic transmission variant delivering an approximate fuel efficiency of 18.6 kilometers per liter. However, specific details about the fuel efficiency of another manual gearbox variant remain pending as it is currently undergoing certification.

Features

Now, shifting our focus to the myriad of features of the 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift. A highlight is the incorporation of the Advanced Driver Aids System (ADAS), indicating Kia's commitment to safety enhancements. On the exterior front, the Sonet showcases a revamped design, projecting a more rugged and aggressive appearance. Inside the cabin, Kia has equipped the 2024 Sonet with a suite of features including a wireless charger, air purifier, specialized ventilated seats, a 360-degree parking camera, electrically adjustable seats, rear curtains, and an array of other comfort and convenience elements.

Competitors

When the Kia Sonet facelift hits the market, it will rekindle the competition within the compact SUV segment, pitting itself against formidable rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and other prominent models in this category.

In conclusion, Kia's forthcoming 2024 Sonet facelift is all set to offer customers a diverse range of engine choices coupled with engaging features like the ADAS. This expected launch is going to intensify the competition within the compact SUV segment, increasing the enthusiasm and interest among car enthusiasts.
