Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition launched in India at Rs 87 lakh with wind-tunnel-developed aero upgrades
Mechanically unchanged 421hp engine delivers 0-100kph in 3.9 seconds and 270kph top speed
Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition 4MATIC+ at Rs 87 lakh, ex-showroom. This special, limited-volume iteration sits above the standard A45 S in the brand's line-up and, notably, arrives at Rs 5.5 lakh less than its predecessor, which retailed at Rs 92.50 lakh back in 2023.
The Aero Track Edition is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who want more visual drama and genuine aerodynamic function without a mechanical overhaul.
What the Aero Track Edition Adds Over the Standard A45 S
The AMG Aerodynamics Package Developed in a Wind Tunnel
The centrepiece of this special edition is the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which has been developed using wind tunnel testing to improve high-speed stability and handling precision. It adds a pronounced front splitter, aerodynamic vanes on the front bumper, a fixed rear wing, and an air diffuser at the back.
All of these components are finished in high-gloss black and are functional rather than purely decorative, working together to improve downforce and reduce lift at speed.
The AMG Night Package Extends the Gloss-Black Treatment Further
Buyers who opt for the Night Package see the gloss-black finish carried further across the car. This includes the side skirt inserts, outside rearview mirror housings, the beltline and window line trim, and the AMG exhaust tips.
Together with the aerodynamics package, it gives the A45 S a noticeably sharper, more purposeful road presence. Rounding off the exterior are 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged alloy wheels in a matte-black finish, paired with red brake callipers that add a pop of colour beneath the arches.
Powertrain and Performance Figures Remain Unchanged from the Standard Model
There are no mechanical changes to speak of with this edition. The A45 S Aero Track Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 421hp and 500Nm of torque.
Drive goes to all four wheels via the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system and an automatic gearbox. Mercedes-AMG claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 270kph.
Pricing and the One Optional Extra Worth Knowing About
The Aero Track Edition is priced at Rs 87 lakh, ex-showroom. Buyers looking for a distinctive finish can opt for the MANUFAKTUR Mountain Grey Magno paint at an additional cost of Rs 3 lakh.
Given that the car is limited in volume, prospective buyers would be wise not to sit on the fence for too long.
