Citroen India Announces Price Surge from January 2024

Citroen India Announces Price Surge from January 2024

The new year marks the excitement of heavy discounts and offers but analyzing the market contradicts the plans of new year sales as Citroen India became one of the first car companies in India to start raising prices on all of its models in 2024. All of its models are affected by the price change, except the Citroen C5 Aircross, which is the company's top model in India

According to Citroen India, starting on January 1, 2023, all of the brand's prices would increase. All models will see a rise in ex-showroom costs of 2.5–3%, depending on the model. The firm now sells Citroen C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross throughout the nation at retail prices.

The C5 Aircross is the brand’s flagship SUV and makes use of a 2.0-litre diesel motor. It churns out 174bhp and 400Nm of peak torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The C3 is the brand’s entry-level hatchback and is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine in two states of tune. This includes naturally aspirated and turbo petrol guises that produce 80bhp and 109bhp, respectively. Meanwhile, the C3 Aircross makes use of the latter powertrain and can be had with a five and seven-seat layout. With a price increase of up to Rs 32,000, the Citroen eC3 has seen the biggest increase. The current range is Rs 11.61 lakh to Rs 13 lakh. The C3 Aircross small SUV now costs Rs 21,000 more because of a Citroen pricing increase. The range of prices for the C3 Aircross is between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 12.97 lakh. Up to 16,000 more has been charged for the C3 hatchback. The selling price of Citroen's C3 hatchback is now between Rs 6.16 lakh and Rs 9.08 lakh.

Well, Citroen is not the only company to announce a price increase; MG, Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Hyundai have all declared price increases that will take effect on January 1, 2024, among other reasons.
