Since 2022, the current BMW 7 Series has been available for purchase. Since then, it has established a reputation for being a luxurious and comfortable limousine with an unusual appearance.
The seventh generation of the 7 Series debuted in mid-2022, with the electric i7 following in November of the same year. About three years after its debut, BMW is now preparing a 7 Series facelift. This is all that we currently know.
Powertrain of 7 Series and i7
The 7 Series and i7's engine/electric motor modifications are yet unclear. The facelifted model is probably going to have much of the same driving systems as the present generation. The entry-level 7 Series model is the 740d xDrive, which has a 286bhp diesel engine.
Two hybrids with 197 horsepower apiece that have an electric motor built into the gearbox are above this. Together with the electric motor, the 750e xDrive's 313bhp combustion engine produces 490bhp and 700Nm of torque.
Battery Range
The M760e xDrive's 3-liter inline six-cylinder engine, which produces 380 horsepower on its own, is superior. Here, the system output is 571 horsepower, and the system torque is 800 Nm, both of which are made possible by the previously stated e-support.
Both plug-in hybrids have a 77–87 km fully electric range, thanks to an 18.7kWh battery. With the model upgrade, there's a good chance that this range may rise a little and cross the 100 km mark.
More Information on the car
With the i7 facelift, BMW will also provide fully electric drive systems in addition to combustion engines and plug-in hybrids. There are three variants of the current i7 available. The eDrive50's base model has 455 horsepower and 650 Nm torque output.
The xDrive60 produces 544 horsepower and 745 Nm, which are greater numbers. The top-tier i7 M70 xDrive variant can produce up to 660 horsepower and 1100 Nm of torque. A 101.7kWh battery powers all three models, with a maximum range of 560km (M70 xDrive) to 615km (xDrive60). A better battery and thermal control system might somewhat increase the facelift's range.

Conclusion
The goal of BMW's impending 7 Series and i7 facelift is to enhance an already opulent and cutting-edge range. Improvements in battery range, engine efficiency, and overall performance are anticipated, even if significant design changes have not yet been revealed. BMW is putting the 7 Series and i7 in a position to more successfully compete with the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8 thanks to improved hybrid systems and a possible increase in electric range. One thing is certain as we wait for official information: the updated 7 Series and i7 will continue to raise the bar for high-end sedans.
