2025 Tata Harrier EV Bookings Now Open at Dealerships

Tata Motors’ much-awaited 2025 Harrier EV is turning heads already, with a few dealerships commencing unofficial bookings prior to its official launch. This SUV is designed and packed with features and two powertrains, and looks ready to tackle premium electric competitors like the XEV 9e and BYD Atto 3.

While Tata Motors has yet to formally begin with the all-new Harrier EV bookings, a few Tata dealers will be accepting unofficial bookings ahead of orders launching on July 2.

Starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 21.49 lakh, the Harrier EV is Tata's most advanced and feature-loaded electric SUV to date.

Available Variants and Powertrain Info

Tata is set to offer three broad trims for the Harrier EV: Adventure, Fearless and Empowered, with two battery packs (65 kWh and 75 kWh) and in either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) options.

Key technical specifications are :

  • Power output: 238 PS (RWD), 158 PS (front motor on AWD)

  • Torque: Up to 504 Nm

  • Claimed range: Up to 627 km (MIDC)

  • 0-100 kmph acceleration: 6.3 seconds (with Boost Mode)

Feature-Loaded Cabin with High-Tech Equipment

In terms of technology, the Harrier EV surpasses anything Tata has done in the past. It comes equipped with:

  • 14.5-inch infotainment display

  • 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster

  • 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos

  • Dual-zone climate control

  • Panoramic sunroof and multi-color ambient lighting

  • Wireless phone charger, powered front seats

  • Level-2 ADAS, 7 airbags, 360-degree camera with see-through view

The SUV comes with six terrain modes: Mud, Snow, Rock Crawl, Custom, Normal, and Snow/Grass. Further, there is a Summon Mode that enables you to move the car forward/backward using the keyfob.

Using EV-specific functions like Vehicle-to-Vehicle or V2V, and Vehicle-to-Load or V2L features adds a practical aspect.

Exterior & Interior: Familiar but Futuristic

The Harrier EV maintains overall design cues of its diesel sibling with EV-specific changes that include a blanked-out grille, vertical slats in the bumper, and .ev badges.

In the interior profile, the two-tone grey and white dashboard gives it a more premium and modern look.

Rivals and Positioning

The 2025 Tata Harrier EV competes with the Mahindra XEV 9e and BYD Atto 3 and is a more affordable alternative to the Hyundai Ioniq 5; bookings will start shortly, and Tata Motors has a lot to be excited about, diving into what could be some of their most important electric launches yet.
