Karnataka Offers 50% Off Pending Traffic Fines Till July 10
The Karnataka government has announced a limited-period scheme offering a 50% rebate on pending traffic e-challans issued by the police before May 2026, as well as Transport Department cases registered between 1991 and 2022. The concession window runs from June 21, 2026, to July 10, 2026, and motorists can settle their dues through the KSP app, BTP ASTraM app, designated police stations, and city traffic counters. With over Rs 2,827 crore in pending fines statewide, the move aims to significantly clear the backlog.

Karnataka Settles 32,000 E-Challans on Day One
Karnataka's 50 per cent traffic fine concession scheme kicked off on June 21, 2026, drawing an overwhelming response from motorists across the state. On the very first day, over 32,000 pending e-challan cases were cleared, with the government collecting nearly Rs 97 lakh in fines. The scheme runs until July 10 and covers violations dating as far back as 1991, offering vehicle owners a limited window to clear long-pending dues at half the cost.

With its launch just days away, Tata Motors has dropped a new teaser for the Sierra EV that does far more than tease design details. The latest video sees the all-electric SUV charging through desert sand, and more importantly, sports a "QWD Dual Motor" badge on its tailgate. This confirms that Sierra EV will arrive with an all-wheel-drive, dual-motor powertrain, making it only the second Tata EV after the Harrier EV to feature the brand's Quad Wheel Drive technology.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has kicked off customer deliveries of the Urban Cruiser Ebella electric SUV across India, even as variant-wise pricing for the full lineup remains to be announced.
