Mercedes-Benz will launch the updated Maybach S-Class in India on October 5, with its price expected to cross ₹3 crore.
The new Maybach S-Class is expected to be offered with V8 and plug-in hybrid powertrain options in India.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Launch Date
Mercedes-Benz will launch the updated Maybach S-Class in India on October 5, 2026. The model is the latest update to the current-generation Maybach S-Class, which is currently priced at around ₹2.88 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The updated version is expected to cost more than the outgoing model.
The new Maybach S-Class also marks 140 years of Mercedes-Benz and 105 years of Maybach. The facelift brings changes to the exterior design, interior technology and powertrain range.
Exterior Updates
The Maybach S-Class gets a larger grille that is around 20 per cent bigger than before and features LED illumination. The Mercedes star on the bonnet and the Maybach lettering also get illuminated treatment.
The sedan will be available with new forged alloy wheels in 20- and 21-inch sizes, along with additional exterior colours and two-tone paint options from the MANUFAKTUR range. The headlights have also been revised and feature three-pointed-star daytime running lamps.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Maybach S-Class gets an updated screen layout similar to the new S-Class. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display.
The rear cabin gets heated, ventilated and massaging seats, with the backrests reclining up to 43 degrees. Mercedes-Maybach has also added new upholstery choices, including a leather-free vegan option.
It also reports powered soft-close rear doors, a rear centre console, 13.1-inch rear displays and a 10-litre refrigerator. The updated voice assistant is compatible with Google Gemini, Bing and ChatGPT 4o.
Powertrain Options
The updated Maybach S-Class is available with petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The S 580 uses an updated 4.0-litre V8 producing 537bhp and 750Nm, while the S 580e combines a 3.0-litre inline-six with an electric motor and a 22kWh battery.
The India-spec model is expected to get both V8 and plug-in hybrid versions. The final India-specific powertrain details will be announced closer to the launch.
The updated Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is therefore set to arrive in India on October 5 with changes across its exterior, cabin technology and powertrain range.
