Jeep India has revealed the Wrangler Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition and opened pre-bookings, but has not confirmed a price. One report estimates Rs 68 to 70 lakh ex-showroom, which would slot it between the Unlimited (Rs 66.20 lakh) and the Rubicon (Rs 70.8 lakh).
Reports disagree on which trim the Whitecap Mojito is based on. Two of three describe it as Rubicon-based, one says it's based on the standard Unlimited, and that distinction changes what off-road hardware actually comes with it.
Jeep India has revealed the Wrangler Whitecap Mojito Limited Edition through a teaser image and opened pre-bookings for it. This isn't a new edition built for India. The Whitecap Mojito has already been sold in the United States, Japan and South Korea as part of a run of special-edition Wranglers Jeep has put out globally this year.
Green paint, white roof, and a nod to 1941
The headline change is cosmetic: an exclusive 'Mojito' bright green body colour paired with a white hardtop. The white theme carries over to the front grille surround and a horizontal decal that runs along the doors. Jeep says the white top is meant to reference older CJ models, which came with white roofs as standard.
The side panels get '1941' decals, marking the year the original Willys MB Jeep, the vehicle the Wrangler traces its lineage back to, was introduced. The fenders stay body-coloured, and a white '4 Wheel Drive' graphic sits on the boot lid. Beyond these additions, the exterior is unchanged.
What you get inside depends on which report you read
This is where the coverage gets murky. Two of the three reports on the reveal say the Whitecap Mojito adds a built-in dashcam and reinforced grab handles over the standard car. The third report says the cabin is likely unchanged from the Unlimited's specification.
Jeep hasn't clarified this either way, so treat the dashcam and grab handles as likely rather than confirmed until Jeep's own spec sheet is out.
What isn't in dispute is the core feature list carried over from whichever trim it's based on: a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system with a subwoofer, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Same engine, though the exact numbers vary by source
The Whitecap Mojito keeps the Wrangler's existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. Here too, the reports don't fully agree. Two put power at 272 hp, one at 268 bhp. All three agree on 400 Nm of peak torque.
The bigger question is what's underneath. If the Whitecap Mojito is indeed based on the Rubicon, as two of the three reports suggest, it should come with the Rubicon's off-road package: locking differentials, an electronic sway bar disconnect, the Rock-Trac 4x4 system, and heavy-duty Dana 44 axles. If it's Unlimited-based instead, as the third report claims, none of that heavy-duty hardware is guaranteed to be there.
Jeep hasn't said which it is, and that single detail changes both what the car can do off-road and where it's likely to be priced.
Pricing: still an open question
Jeep has not announced official pricing for the Whitecap Mojito. For reference, the Wrangler Rubicon currently costs Rs 70.8 lakh ex-showroom, and the Unlimited costs Rs 66.20 lakh ex-showroom.

The Wrangler line-up in India currently runs Unlimited, Rubicon and Willys 41 Special Edition, and the Whitecap Mojito will join it as a limited-numbers edition. With trim basis, exact interior additions and price all still unconfirmed, buyers interested in booking one are, for now, putting down money on a car whose final specification isn't fully locked down yet.
