The Indian automotive market will sizzle in 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo which will present many new models of EVs and stylish SUVs. As 2025 started, the Indian automotive market was already setting up for an exciting year ahead. The upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo is going to bring a host of new car models innovative for the Indian automobile market. The vehicles that took centre stage included; electric vehicles (EVs), small cars, luxury vehicles, pick-up trucks or Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and all came with a package of advanced technology, longer ranges and special features.

Now let me take you through the most eagerly awaited car launches this year.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Maruti’s EV Leap

Maruti Suzuki is all set to foray into the electric vehicle market with what it calls the e-Vitara, an all-electric SUV that is lined up for an unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The e-Vitara will be offered two battery options: a 49kWh pack and a 61kWh pack with an expected range of up to 500km – Inside there will be two screens, including the touchscreen centre console display and a digital driver display. Such goodies as auto climate control, heated and ventilated seats, as well as wireless charging for phones improve the car’s appeal. Hyundai Creta EV: The Electrified Bestseller

Hyundai Creta EV is also expected at the expo which will be launched on 17th Jan Hyundai Motor Group will display its latest electric vehicle Hyundai Creta. Most of its body is borrowed from the design of the Creta facelift, but the interior will have unique details such as electric logos and new wheels. The range figures are still a secret, but it should be around 500 km on a single charge. This new breed of electric SUV appears to have significant potential in the form of the Creta EV.

Tata Sierra: Reviving a Classic

The Tata Sierra is launching again but as a new car and you can get it with an ICE or an electric motor. It is believed that the mass-produced EV version will support 60-80kWh battery capacity which should enable a range of 400-500km.

At the same time, the ICE version of the car will have 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 2-litre diesel engines for use. To its credit, Sierra has its roots as a traditional vehicle and it currently comes in sleek and stylish design that will beckon both camps.

MG Cyberster: Futuristic Roadster

As it stands, the MG Cyberster is poised to offer a design that would return it to its roots as the sleek electric roadster with scissor doors. With a battery of 77 kWh, it has a range of 570 km and acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. Available only through MG Select outlets, it’s a car for those who want style and more importantly, performance.

These exciting launches make 2025 look like the year that will revolutionize car manufacturing in India. But no matter what one is searching for, whether a new concept, an environmentally friendly solution, or greater efficiency, the well-stocked draws offer it.
