Government Waives All The Challans For The Last 3 Years
The Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled all pending traffic challans issued between 2017 and 2021 according to the news agency ANI.
After Noida Transport Department, more than 17 lakh challans issued by the traffic police will also be waived. Following the instructions of the state government, action will be taken to waive the challan of vehicles. Initially this order was applicable on the challans made by the Assistant Divisional Transport Department, but now it is applicable on the traffic police as well.
Traffic police officials said that out of the total challans issued from April 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021, the challan amount of 17 lakh 89 thousand 463 vehicles will be waived off and the challan amount will be reduced to zero. In such a situation, people whose vehicles have been issued a challan during this period should not deposit them. The record of zero challan amount will be updated on their e-challan website.
Traffic police officials said that the process of e-challan in Noida-Greater Noida has started from April 1, 2018. Earlier, challans were made by cutting slips manually. In such a situation, challans of 17 lakh 89 thousand 463 vehicles will be canceled from the year 2018 to the end of 2021.
