Top 10 Sedans That Were Showcased In India At The Auto Expo 2025

Top 10 Sedans That Were Showcased in India at the Auto Expo 2025

An impressive showcase of sedans with an infusion of power, luxury, and innovation was featured at the Auto Expo. The show had it from the Dashed Looks of the Maruti Dzire Urban Luxe Edition to the all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept, which was crafted for taste across all segments. Premium offers from Porsche and Mercedes-AMG vehicles stunned with their raw power, while Skoda and MG served buyers looking for styling on a value-for-money proposition.

While SUVs hogged all the limelight at the 2025 Auto Expo, sedans were quietly introduced by mass-market and premium brands.

Here’s a closer look at the top 10 sedans that made a splash at the event.

1. Maruti Dzire Urban Luxe Edition

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Dzire Urban Luxe Edition, taking the compact sedan that’s a favorite to the next level of style. The exterior is just about perfect, with a chrome grille, chrome-finished body side moldings, and rear bumper garnish, which gives it a premium look. The specs and features are the same, but this version has more design elements to grab the attention of buyers looking for an upgraded Dzire stylishly.

2. New Skoda Octavia vRS

At the Auto Expo, the Skoda Octavia vRS turned heads with its sporty stance. With 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque from a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, the car commands the kind of respect usually reserved for performance cars. Bold bits that add to its sportiness are the 18-inch alloy wheels, boot lip spoiler and a super cool all-black interior theme. The launch is expected in late 2025, and it is priced at around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s a treat for car lovers.

3. New Skoda Superb

The 4th gen Skoda Superb was showcased, continuing the tradition of combining luxury and performance. While the exterior design is subtle, with a few tweaks, the interior of the sedan has been completely overhauled to make it more premium. The new Superb will come with a 204 PS 2-litre petrol engine. No launch date yet, but it will be a full import car for luxury sedan enthusiasts.

4. MG 7 Trophy

The MG 7 Trophy looked sharp and modern. The body curve was accentuated by bright LED headlamps and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. An active spoiler added to its sporty stance. The MG 7 Trophy had a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 265 PS and 405 Nm of torque and a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It had a good balance of looks and performance.

5. MG iM 5 Electric Sedan

The new MG iM five electric sedan from SAIC Group’s iM Motors surprised everyone with its simple and futuristic design. The interior of the clean iM 5 has a yoke-type steering wheel and a triple-display dashboard. This electric sedan has multiple powertrain options and a claimed range per charge of up to 850 km. The iM 5 is one of the examples of MG’s vision of sustainable and innovative mobility.

6. New-Gen Porsche Panamera

With the new Panamera, Porsche has combined luxury and performance. It has two variants, the Standard and the GTS, and the luxury sedan is priced at Rs 1.7 crore and Rs 2.33 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. The GTS variant comes with a 500 PS, 660 Nm-torque 4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine. For a comfortable drive, it has luxury features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a 14-speaker sub-woofer system.

7. Porsche Taycan Facelift

The updated Porsche Taycan electric sedan has a better design and range of options. It comes with an 89 kWh or 105 kWh battery pack and has an impressive range of 642 km on a single charge. The Taycan’s interiors are loaded with modern comforts like ambient lighting throughout, a triple display dashboard, and ventilated 14-way power front seats. Available in two variants, 4S and Turbo, the facelifted Taycan continues to set the benchmark for luxury EVs.

8. Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept

Mercedes-Benz has showcased the CLA Concept, an all-electric version of the CLA sedan that’s coming soon. The conceptual car has an aerodynamic and stylish design and an MBUX Superscreen setup inside. The production version will come in single and dual-motor options with a claimed range of 750 km. This is a big statement from the brand on electric mobility.

9. Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB AMG Line

Sporty inside and out, the sixth generation of the E-Class vehicles lined up for offer was the E-Class AMG Line. The 3-litre, 6-cylinder mild-hybrid engine produced 281 hp and a hefty 500 Nm of torque. Driving pleasure on the inside was boosted by the triple-display setup, 4-zone automatic climate control system, and Burmester 17-speaker surround sound system. The sedan strikes an ideal balance of performance and elegance.

10. Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance

With the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance, it didn't get any better: a powerhouse luxury car. A 4-litre turbocharged petrol engine aided by plug-in hybrid technology, capable of producing an insane 802 PS and a colossal 1,430 Nm of torque. And while being a monster, the car also has the ability to drive fully electric for up to 33 km. This flagship sedan comes priced at Rs 3.34 crore (ex-showroom) with true engineering and design mastery.

Conclusion

It was at the 2025 Auto Expo that it may be certified that sedans still hold sway in the Indian market. A blend of luxury, performance, and creativity, the lineup showcased at the extravaganza is sure to meet the needs of almost all sedan aficionados.
