Kia Syros 2nd Base Variant Arrives at Dealerships – Walkaround Details

The second base variant is the Kia Syros HTK (O), already in the dealership before the February 1 offering and is forward in the segment-leading the sub-four-meter SUV segment. Besides having excellent casual looks, there is a 12.3-inch infotainment system, manual options for transmission, and some real engines. Style, practicality, and performance in the Syros meet the needs of urban and off-roading for a competitive edge in the SUV segment.

Kia appears all set to shake the entry-level SUV market below 4 meters, with the new Syros due on the 1st of February 2025. The car was internationally shown sometime in December 2024 and is now being sold, and booked, with plans to get deliveries rolling by mid-February.

Take a closer look at the HTK (O) 2nd base variant to see how practical, stylish, and purposeful it is.

Syros HTK (O): Dimensions and Practicality

Compared with the Sonet, the Kia Syros has the same length but expands its width (1,805mm, +15mm) and height (1,680mm, +38mm). The wheelbase surpasses the Sonet by 50mm, improving cabin space to 2,550mm. Its boot is spelled at 465 liters; this now beats both the Sonet and Seltos. The car has an increased clearance of 205 mm. Slightly higher ground clearance means the vehicle could roll over dirt and city roads pretty well.

Exterior Design: Rugged and Distinct

The HTK (O) trim gains quite a bit with some body mass in its face, but all the more so in terms of an armored car. Some of the features are:

  • Ice cube halogen headlamps

  • Closed grille design

  • Fine metallic accent on the side of the door

  • R15 steel wheels in addition to R16 crystal-cut alloys in diesel variant

  • Electric sunroof

Further details include a shark fin antenna, a high-mounting diving stop lamp, vertically stacked tail lamps, and silver-finishing skid plates that give it a premium stance.

Ambiance and Technology Inside this variant, Syros HTK (O) seems to have been fashioned to the space of roominess and swanky features, and they can be described below:

  • A 12.3-inch High Definition display top panel with wireless Android auto and Apple car play

  • Back vision through rear-view-camera supported by dynamic guidelines

  • Mountings for steering and Type-C charging

  • Rear AC vents

No climate control for the top three variants yet, but it gives the driver seat height adjuster, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and 20 standard safety features like:

  • Multiple airbags

  • Electronic stability control (ESC)

  • Hill-start assist control

  • Front and rear parking sensors

Powertrain Options

The HTK (O) in Syros comes with both the petrol as well as diesel engine choices in 1.0-litre and 115 PS 172 Nm turbo-petrol models or 115 PS 250 N 6-speed manual transmission. Higher sidewalls use automatics, with petrol being serviced by a 7DCT and diesels a 6AT connected to the transmission system.

It is a lifestyle SUV that addresses the style and practicability needs of the urban adventurer in equal parts. Expect the SUV to be released in February 2025.
