Tata Grabs the Bull by the Horn With the Curvv- Here Are The Details

Tata Curvv starts a new standard with a remarkable towing performance of 42,000 kilograms on three trucks. The SUV with mechanical job efficiency is unseen until this 1.2-litre Hyperion turbo-charged petrol engine generates 123 bhp and 225 Nm. The price range of the Curvv lies between 10 lakh to 19.20 lakh, offering a variant of powertrains with petrol, diesel, and electric models.

After the release of its new SUV,-the Tata Curvv, Tata Motors woke itself back onto the world news charts with some bold action. While evidence of the aforementioned claim lies in the just-released video, an astonishing feat performed live, the SUV apparently managed to really pull an equal weight of exactly 42,000 kg through three dumper trucks.

The video was shot on Tata Motors' test track to show this SUV's they-will-take-a-bow level of strength and engineering.

The Active Engine

The Tata Curvv used for this stunt is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Hyperion petrol engine. Key specifications of the engine include:

  • Power Output: 123 bhp.

  • Torque: 225 Nm.

  • Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

With this kind of high-tech engine, it shouldn't be a problem for the Curvv to maneuver through loads in the range of heavyweight in order to further cement its identity as a high-performance SUV.

Tata’s Legacy of Power Feats

It's not the first time Tata Motors pulled such a fantastic stunt. The Tata Hexa displayed its strength by towing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, bestowing the essence of Tata-branded products on strong yet easy-to-handle engineering.

Overview of Tata Curvv

The Tata Curvv was successfully launched in 2024 in India and has become a significant success for Tata Motor Company. The starting price of the SUV is Rs 10 lakh and extends up to Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The engine options include:

  • Petrol Engines: Petrol Engines: 1. 2-litre turbo-petrol

  • Diesel Engine: Diesel Engine: 1. 5-litre turbo-diesel

Tranny options are a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Furthermore, the Curvv is offered in petrol, diesel, and electric forms which can satisfy a variety of customer requirements.

Competition in the Segment

The Tata Curvv contends with other prominent compact SUVs in the segment, including:

  • Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

  • Hyundai Creta

Due to high power density, rich omnidirection, and a good price, the Curvv will pose competition to the subcompact SUV.

Continuing its endeavor in producing high-performance, adaptable, and trustworthy SUVs is an open-ended question and definition challenge illustrated through releasing its video on the journey and the challenges faced; all this was and has been followed by Tata Motors closely.
