The Ultimate Guide to Buying a Toyota Belta: Tips and Advice From Industry Experts

Access expert tips and industry insights for a wise purchase. Dive into model variations, features, and financing options in this comprehensive guide. Ensure a confident choice when considering the practical and reliable Toyota Belta.

The Toyota Belta is a 5-seater sedan with an expected launch in India in July 2023. The vehicle is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and is a likely competitor.

The Toyota Belta offers several unique features that will make it stand out from its competitors, including Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid.

It has many features that are unique to the Indian market, including a folding rear seat and an all-electric powertrain.

Here are some tips from experts on making an informed decision before buying the Toyota Belta.

The Upcoming Toyota Belta

Toyota has introduced the Belta sedan in the Middle Eastern markets, and its launch in India is eagerly awaited.

  • The model is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz that is sold in India.

  • This rebadging and selling decision is a part of the partnership between Maruti and Toyota for the supply of hybrid technology and other vehicles that were announced in 2018.

  • The Toyota Belta is essentially the same car as the Maruti Ciaz, with the Toyota badging inside and outside.

  • The proposed price range for the Toyota Belta 2023 sedan is expected to be between INR 10 lakhs to INR 12.00 lakhs.

Engine and Transmission in Toyota Belta

Toyota vehicles are known for their reliable engines, which are sturdy and fuel efficient. The main features of the Toyota Belta engine are:

  • A 1.5-litre (1462cc), four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. This is similar to the Maruti Ciaz engine.

  • The international-spec Belta is currently available with a four-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

  • Reportedly, the India-spec model will also likely have a five-speed manual unit.

Toyota Belta's Fuel Efficiency

Toyota engines are known for being fuel efficient. Let us see what the Toyota Belta will offer.

  • The 1.5-litre petrol engine of the Toyota Belta with automatic transmission is expected to offer a mileage of 20.4 kmpl (Kilometres per litre).

  • The petrol manual transmission version is expected to offer a fuel efficiency of 20.65 kmpl.

Only a petrol version is expected to be available immediately.

Design of Toyota Belta

In terms of design, the Toyota Belta has a smooth and sporty look. It is almost similar to the Maruti Ciaz.

  • The shape of the headlamps, wheels, and even the offered colours (about seven) are expected to be the same as the Maruti Ciaz.

  • The only notable modifications are a tweaked front (grille) and rear bumper design and the Toyota badge on the nose and tail.

Toyota Belta Dimensions and Capacity

The Toyota Belta measures 4490 mm in length, 1730 mm in width, and 1485 mm in height.

It has ample cargo or boot space of 510 litres and gets a ground clearance of 170 mm.

Interiors in Toyota Belta

The interiors of the Toyota Belta are ergonomically designed, luxurious, and comfortable, providing ease of driving.

The interiors have been specifically designed with the Indian market in mind and are expected to be more or similar to the Maruti Ciaz. The interiors include:

  • A high-quality instrument panel.

  • Ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room.

  • A dual-tone colour scheme is expected to be used in the cabin to give it a luxurious appearance.

  • A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Electric Outside Rear-view connectivity.

  • Auto climate control and Cruise control.

  • Push-button start/stop and Keyless entry.

  • Multi-function steering wheel and Rear AC vents.

  • Tilt steering and steering mounted controls.

Toyota Belta's Safety Features

The Toyota Belta will have the best-in-class passenger safety features.

  • The vehicle will have a standard child seat installation system, an electronic brake force system for the anti-lock brakes, and two front airbags, one for the driver and one for the passenger.

  • Also, the Toyota Belta will comply with pedestrian protection standards, which guarantees the safety of both passengers and pedestrians.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a well-performing and spacious mid-level 5-seater sedan with a refined engine, then the Toyota Belta is for you! The vehicle’s pricing, sleek design, and modern features make it stand out amongst its competitors.

Also, with low emissions and fuel efficiency, it is expected to be a hit with the eco-conscious Indian driver.
