The Sierra EV's latest teaser confirms a black and white interior with a triple-screen layout, panoramic sunroof, HUD, boost mode, and six customisable terrain modes.
The AWD variant produces a confirmed 500 Nm of torque and was shown climbing the 300-metre Tal Moreeb sand dune in the UAE.
Tata Motors is clearly in no mood to keep things under wraps. Just days before the Sierra EV makes its official debut on June 30, 2026, the brand has released its most comprehensive teaser to date, pulling back the curtain on the electric SUV's cabin in considerable detail. If earlier glimpses were merely appetisers, this one is the main course.
A Cabin That Mirrors the ICE Sierra's Layout
The latest teaser confirms that the Sierra EV's interior will closely follow the design language of its petrol-powered counterpart. The cabin adopts a two-tone black and white theme, giving it a clean, contemporary feel.
Up front, a triple-screen layout dominates the dashboard, sitting alongside a heads-up display. There is also a panoramic sunroof on offer, which should make the cabin feel significantly more airy.
Terrain Modes and Boost Setting Are Confirmed
The teaser also puts the Sierra EV's off-road credentials firmly on the table. Tata has confirmed six customisable terrain modes along with a boost mode for those moments when you need instant, effortless acceleration. It is a feature set that suggests this electric SUV is being built to do considerably more than city commutes.
AWD Drivetrain Showcased With a Desert Record
To demonstrate what the dual-motor setup is genuinely capable of, Tata showed the Sierra EV climbing the Tal Moreeb sand dune in the UAE, one of the tallest sand dunes in the world at 300 metres.
The AWD variant has a confirmed maximum torque output of 500 Nm, and a multi-link suspension setup at the rear has also been confirmed through previous spy shots.
Expected Battery and Range Figures
While Tata is yet to officially announce powertrain specifications in full, the Sierra EV is expected to share its battery options with the Harrier EV. Three configurations are anticipated.
A 65 kWh single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup is expected to produce 238 PS and offer a claimed range of 538 km.
A 75 kWh single-motor RWD variant with the same power output is expected to deliver up to 627 km.
The dual-motor AWD variant, also with a 75 kWh pack, is expected to produce a combined 396 PS (front and rear motor) and the confirmed 500 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of around 622 km.
Features and Safety Equipment Expected on Board
Beyond what the teaser confirmed, the Sierra EV is also expected to come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats with a six-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, cruise control, and connected car technology.
On the safety front, the SUV is expected to feature six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, level-2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and all-wheel disc brakes.
Price and Who It Will Take On
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to carry a starting price in excess of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Should Tata offer a Battery-as-a-Service option from launch, the upfront cost could come down closer to the ICE Sierra's pricing.
Once on sale, it will go up against the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, VinFast VF7, and Toyota Ebella.
