Tata Punch EV Facelift Unveiled Before Launch in India on February 20

Officially presented, the Tata Punch EV facelift features an updated exterior appearance that draws inspiration from Tata's most recent stylistic approach. On February 20, the small electric SUV will make its debut in India. It will feature a sleeker, more contemporary design with the same tested drivetrain and battery options. The makeover, which is anticipated to include minor exterior and interior upgrades, intends to solidify the Punch EV's place in the quickly growing urban EV market by attracting customers looking for efficiency, style, and utility.

  • The bodywork of the Tata Punch EV has been updated with a redesigned front end and anticipated integrated rear lights.

  • Launch in India is scheduled for February 20, 2026, and the battery and range specs are the same.

Tata Motors has unveiled the updated Punch EV before its formal introduction in India on February 20, 2026. The revised model seems more contemporary and unique than the present model, thanks to notable design changes at the front. This comprises a new front end that replaces the previous coupled DRL arrangement with independent headlamp clusters.

The recent ICE Punch redesign and Tata's larger EVs appear to have inspired the overall design; however, fans have had differing opinions about the new appearance.

Small Modifications, Known Design Language

The side profile hasn't changed much, but the front has seen noticeable alterations. The Punch EV facelift keeps the side character lines and thick black claddings that characterize its small SUV appearance.

Tata is anticipated to complete the revised style motif at the back with a connected taillight arrangement akin to the ICE model.

Under and Within the Skin

Tata's modern cabin design is already present inside the Punch EV, and it is expected that the facelift will preserve the same basic arrangement. Tech-savvy consumers will continue to be drawn to features like a huge touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, touch-based climate controls, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, and a dual-tone cabin. Punch will continue to prioritize a high-end feel and functionality.

It is anticipated that Tata would maintain the current powertrain options mechanically. Customers can therefore select between the 25 kWh battery, which has a stated range of about 315 km, and the 35 kWh battery, which has a range of up to 421 km.

Power numbers will remain constant, guaranteeing a facelift that is familiar in terms of performance but new in appearance.

Launch Information and Position in the Market

Tata has formally announced the Punch EV facelift's February 20, 2026, launch date in India. This is the company's first mid-cycle update since the electric SUV's introduction. It is expected to be priced between ₹9.99 and ₹14.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it an attractive choice in the expanding compact EV market.

When it launches, it will face off against competitors like the MG Comet EV and Citroën eC3, but there are other upcoming models like the VinFast VF 3.

The updated Punch EV demonstrates Tata's dedication to maintaining the competitiveness and practical range of its electric vehicles without deviating significantly from the features that consumers currently value: a well-equipped cabin, bold style, and a practical range.

As the debut draws near, further information, such as precise pricing and other specifications, should be available soon.
