Tata Avinya X: India's Most Luxurious EV Set for Launch in 2025

Tata's premium EV brand Avinya debuts with an innovative 5-door Sportback offering luxurious 4-seater configuration, advanced technology including ADAS, V2V charging, and an impressive 500+ km range, built on JLR's EMA architecture as part of the company's billion-dollar investment to maintain market leadership against incoming competition.

Now that Tata Motors already has a large share of the Indian EV market, the car maker proposes to double its line-up of EV products with the inflow of new competition.

For this, the car manufacturer has laid out an investment of over USD 1 billion, besides launching its high-end electric brand - Avinya. The first Avinya model will be a five-door Sportback, which was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January in its concept avatar (Avinya X). It will soon be followed by an electric SUV, a smaller SUV (measuring nearly 4.4 metres in length), a large luxury MPV and a three-row SUV.

This luxury electric SUV from Tata will have a down-the-middle large floating central infotainment system, dual-tone dashboard with concealed A/C vents and a lounge-like 4-seater configuration.

Along with all this, panoramic sunroof, multi zone auto AC, wireless phone charger, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging capabilities, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite will also be available.

The final production version of Tata Avinya X would get minor practical cosmetic changes from the concept, but will have most of the design elements intact. The concept has glossy black front and rear bumpers, a bigger 'T' logo at the front and rear along with LED lighting signature, two slim horizontal strips of DRL with Matrix technology, large dual-tone wheels and sharply raked front and rear windscreens.

The Tata Avinya X will be built on JLR's EMA architecture. Its official specifications are still to be revealed, but it is understood to feature a large battery pack offering a "180-degree" range of well over 500 km. In addition to this, the Avinya EV will be compatible with fast charging.

All-new probably with two spoke, touch-based controls and leather-wrapped centerpiece will etch its debut in production-ready Tata Avinya X.

As per the leaked patent of the steering wheel, the same would possess calls and music controls on the left side, while on the right side would be cruise control and ADAS features. The steering wheel would be a dual-tone.
