Mahindra XUV700's cumulative sales have crossed the 2.5 lakh mark since its launch. From the time of its launch in 2021, the Mahindra XUV700 has never ceased to elicit admiration among the masses. Now selling at a rate that has taken a little over seven months to go from 2 lakh to 2.5 lakh, the SUV now crosses the cumulative landmark of 2.5 lakh sales with another sales record. The SUV clocked 2 lakh in sales in June 2024 and one in July 2023.
That said, the XUV700 customers seem to be more diesel-minded than turbo-petrol. In January 2025, of the 8399 units sold, more than 74 percent of customers chose a diesel engine. This trend continued into February 2025, when diesel sales represented 65 percent of total unit sales, which were 5560 units. Besides that, approximately three-quarters of the customers that year for financial 2024-25 sided with the diesel engine while the rest selected the petrol. This has been the trend for the SUV since its launch in 2021.

The Mahindra XUV700 is packed with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power driver's seat, and a 12-speaker Sony sound system. Other goodies include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and a wireless recharge pad for phones.
The SUV is equipped with extensive safety features including seven airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and 360-degree camera. The top-end variant gets advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Mahindra XUV700: Price And RivalsThe Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 25.74 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Its 6- and 7-seater versions take on cars like Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus, while the 5-seater version competes against Tata Harrier, MG Hector and compact SUVs such as Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.
