Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAVWIPL) has fully established a robust portfolio in India as a part of its INDIA 2.0 strategy. The strategy has two SUVs in its lineup, the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, which also have undergone facelifts.
As suggested by the spy shots of test mules, both vehicles will boast of multiple upgrades.
New And Fresh Updates In Designs And Styling
The seen test mules of the vehicle suggest that the Skoda is likely to change design at the front and rear, while the side profile will still remain the same.
However, here are some noticeable changes, like:
New alloy wheels with Gunmetal Grey Shade
Red-painted brake callipers at the front
New, revised rear bumper for a sportier outlook
New taillights
LED light bar or Black Plague with SKODA lettering
Redesigned front grille, probably a little larger
An ADAS suite and a 360-degree camera with panoramic sunroof
10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen
8-inch virtual cockpit and 6 airbags
5-star GNCAP crash safety rating
Powertrain and Engine
Talking about the powertrains of SUVs, the facelift is expected to carry over the 1.0L 3-cyl Turbo Petrol (117 bhp, 178 Nm) and 1.5L 4-cyl Turbo Petrol (148 bhp, 250 Nm) engine options.
However, both will contain a 6-speed manual and an automatic option each (6TC and 7DCT).
As of now, the vehicles that have undergone spy testing among SAVWIPL’s INDIA 2.0 are only the Kushaq and the Taigun facelifts.
