The Rimac Nevera hypercar, powered solely by electricity, has achieved an astonishing feat by setting 23 new world records. On a test track in Germany, this Croatian hypercar set 23 new records for acceleration and braking in a single day.
The all-electric Nevera trounced its rivals in a remarkable demonstration of force and speed. It set a new world record time of 1.81 seconds for the 0 - 100 km/h sprint to beat Pininfarina Battista’s record of 1.86 seconds by 0.05 seconds.
The record for 0-400-0 kph acceleration and stop was also broken by Rimac Nevera which did a 0-400 kph acceleration and subsequent full stop in just 29.93 seconds. It beat the Koenigsegg Regera which was the previous record holder with 31 seconds since 2019
Two impartial verifiers—Dewesoft and RaceLogic—carefully recorded the times of the Rimac Nevera. The automaker chose the lowest timings captured by these verifiers as the official record-breaking figures. The group ran many times and set a number of new marks, including a fast-standing quarter-mile time.
The Rimac Nevera features four motors, one for each wheel, and is priced at €2 million (Rs 17.84 crore). This setup gives the electric hypercar a mind-blowing 1,914 horsepower and 2,369 Nm of torque. The Nevera has a 490 km WLTP-rated range thanks to its 120kWh battery pack. At an astonishing pace of around 100 times per second, the integrated Nvidia supercomputer continually calculates the torque distribution to each wheel.
