The updated hatchback dramatically simplifies its lineup into just two trims - Evolution and Climber.
The updated lineup also brings six airbags to the top-spec Climber variant.
Renault India has officially launched the 2026 Kwid in the Indian market, with prices starting at ₹4.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest update brings refreshed styling, revised variants and new feature additions aimed at keeping the entry-level hatchback competitive in its segment.
One of the biggest changes is Renault's simplified variant strategy. The Kwid is now available only in Evolution and Climber trims, making the lineup easier to understand while offering improved value through updated features and enhanced safety equipment.
2026 Renault Kwid Variants and Prices
Renault has simplified the Kwid lineup by discontinuing the earlier Authentic and Techno trims. The hatchback is now available in Evolution and Climber variants, with both manual and AMT gearbox options.

What's New in the 2026 Renault Kwid?
The 2026 Kwid receives subtle cosmetic updates, including refreshed exterior styling, revised trim elements and new design details that give the hatchback a fresher appearance.
Inside, the cabin retains its familiar layout but gets updated upholstery, revised trim finishes and additional convenience features depending on the variant.
The hatchback continues to offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted controls, digital instrument display, rear parking camera and electrically adjustable ORVMs on higher variants.
New Renault Kwid Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the new Kwid remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the familiar 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine producing 67 hp and 91 Nm of torque.
Renault is also expected to continue offering its dealer-level CNG retrofitment option.
Competition and Market Position
With the latest update, Renault aims to strengthen the Kwid's position in the highly competitive entry-level hatchback segment. The refreshed model will continue to rival the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Maruti Suzuki Celerio, while offering SUV-inspired styling and an attractive feature list at an affordable price point.
With prices starting at ₹4.53 lakh, Renault hopes the updated Kwid will continue attracting first-time car buyers and strengthen its presence in India's budget hatchback segment.
