New Mercedes-Benz CLA Unveiled with Hybrid & EV Powertrains

New Mercedes-Benz CLA: Bigger, More Efficient & Electrified. The 2025 CLA arrives with hybrid and electric powertrains, offering a spacious cabin, fast-charging EVs, and a refined luxury sedan experience.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Unveiled: Now Available with Hybrid and Electric Engine Options!

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA has grown, matured, and now offers hybrid and fully electric powertrains to deliver a truly superior level of efficiency and performance to the entry-premium level.

Mercedes-Benz CLA 2025: A New Benchmark in Efficiency & Performance

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the all-new CLA, which has been reincarnated with hybrid and electric versions, along with promises of efficiency, dynamics, and the latest in-car gadgets. The car is going to appear more spacious, refined, and cutting-edge than its predecessor, thus setting a new standard in entry-luxury sedans.

The line-up will include a plug-in hybrid as well as a completely electric model, covering performance-hungry hybrid and purist long-range EVs with speed charging capability types of buyers.

Electrified Performance: Hybrid and EV Variants

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled initial two variants for global markets:

  • CLA 250+ EQ Technology (EV) - This 200-kW electric model offers an impressive 792 km range (WLTP cycle), making it one of the longest-range EVs in its segment. It comes with an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing fast charging of up to 325 km range in just 10 minutes.

  • CLA 350 4MATIC (Performance EV) - The organization's performance criterion is designated by this conversion which incorporates Mercedes' developed 800-volt electric architecture, which almost makes charging as speedy as refuelling.

To have maximum performance and efficiency, both electric variants are equipped with a two-speed gearbox at the rear axle: the first one benefits low-speed performance, urban efficiency, and towing capacity, whereas the second one maximizes power delivery on highways.

For hybrids, Mercedes has added a new 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with an integrated electric motor. It also features a 48-volt lithium-ion battery (1.3 kWh capacity) for additional power delivery and fuel savings.

Bigger and Bolder but Advanced

The 2025 CLA has physically grown in size by giving more space to the interior and comfort level. Some changes include the following important dimensions:

  • A wheelbase dimension of 2,790 mm ensures better leg and stability. The overall package is wider and taller, which gives a more aggressive presence on the road.

  • Aerodynamic design incorporating the distinctive Mercedes-Benz styling.

  • The large sleek coupe-sedan profile is retained, but the refinement and design language strike a modern, premium feel.

What Next for New CLA?

The year 2025 is also the promised year for CLA, which goes miles in electrification and sustainable mobility. Hence, it becomes a workhorse in range and hybrid efficiency with ultra-fast charging and the new CLA will surely be a strong contender for premium entry-level luxury sedan clients.

Expectedly, the pricing and market availability of Mercedes are not yet confirmed, but the CLA is set to be available soon in India and many other key global markets after its launch in Europe because the stir about luxury hybrids and EVs is still growing.
