New Kia Clavis B Suv Teased Ahead Of Launch

New Kia Clavis B-SUV Teased Ahead of Launch

Kia India has teased its upcoming Clavis B-SUV ahead of its launch, which is expected in the coming months.

Positioned above the Sonet in Kia’s SUV lineup, the Clavis will be the seventh model from the brand in India, joining the Sonet, Seltos, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and EV9 in their growing portfolio.

Design Highlights

The teaser image reveals several design elements that give us a glimpse of the new Clavis B-SUV.

Some of the key features include:

  • Vertically Stacked LED DRLs: A stylish and modern lighting arrangement.

  • Flush-Fitting Door Handles: Enhances the SUV's sleek and aerodynamic design.

  • Front Door-Mounted ORVMs: For improved visibility and aerodynamics.

  • Roof Rails: Adding a rugged touch to the overall design.

  • Integrated Spoiler: For a sportier rear profile.

  • L-shaped two-piece LED Taillights: Mounted on either side of the rear windscreen, adding to the SUV's distinctive rear appearance.

  • Blacked-Out C-Pillars and ORVMs: Enhances the SUV’s sporty and premium look.

Inspiration and Design Influence

Kia mentions that the design of the Clavis takes heavy inspiration from recently launched models such as the Kia EV9 and Kia Carnival, showcasing the brand’s evolving design language and commitment to innovation.

Expected Features

The 2025 Kia Clavis is expected to come equipped with several premium features, including:

  • Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels: For a premium, stylish look.

  • Panoramic Sunroof: Enhancing the cabin's open feel and light.

  • Ventilated Front Seats: Ensuring comfort for long drives.

  • Large Touchscreen Infotainment System: With a sleek, modern interface for media and connectivity.

  • Fully Digital Instrument Cluster: Providing all essential driving information in a digital format.

  • 360-degree Camera: Ensuring enhanced safety and parking assistance.

  • ADAS Suite: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for a safer driving experience.

Powertrain and Specifications

While official details about the technical specifications are still unknown, the Clavis could be powered by the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, which is already available in the Kia Sonet. This engine produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Given the SUV's premium positioning, more engine options might be expected at launch.

The Kia Clavis promises to bring a fresh new option to Kia's B-SUV range, offering an exciting blend of modern design, features, and advanced technology. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch draws closer.
