More than 52 thousand challans issued in 2 months in West Delhi

There is a steady rise in the number of individuals breaching traffic regulations on the roads of West Delhi. The most recent data indicates that during January and February of 2024, a total of 52,593 drivers were issued challans. The greatest number of cases among these involve individuals driving without a Pollution Certificate (PUC).

The traffic police is consistently implementing stringent measures. The figures show its effect clearly. In the first two months of this year, 33,650 vehicles were penalized for lacking a pollution certificate. This figure was 96,159 for the entire year, clearly demonstrating that this time, the traffic police are stricter about rule adherence than before.

Dangerous Driving and deadly cuts are a big problem

The police have also intensified their efforts against those who endanger others through reckless driving.

In January and February, a total of 4,629 challans for dangerous driving were issued, compared to 19,239 challans issued under the same regulation in the previous year.
