MG ZS EV Prices Reduced by ₹6.14 Lakh in India

MG Motor India has lowered the price of its ZS EV across all variants, making it more affordable. The top-end version gets the largest reduction of ₹6.14 lakh, positioning the ZS EV to step up its competition with upcoming models like the Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Nexon EV Max.

JSW MG Motor India has taken a bold step to solidify its place in the expanding electric SUV segment. The company has reduced the prices of its flagship electric car, the ZS EV, cutting them by as much as ₹6.14 lakh. This adjustment lowers the starting ex-showroom price to ₹17.99 lakh, making it a much more attractive choice for people considering electric cars in India.

Variant-Wise Price Cuts

The ZS EV now comes in several trims like Executive, Excite Pro, Exclusive Plus, 100-Year Edition, and Essence. All versions have seen their prices reduced.

The cheapest Executive trim is now priced at ₹17.99 lakh, thanks to a ₹99,000 price cut. Higher-end models have even bigger drops. The Essence Dual Tone Iconic Ivory trim has a massive ₹6.14 lakh discount and now costs ₹20.50 lakh.

Here’s how the updated pricing looks:

  • Excite Pro: ₹18.50 lakh with a ₹1.98 lakh drop.

  • Exclusive Plus Dual Tone: ₹19.50 lakh (a price cut of ₹5.85 lakh)

  • Essence Dual Tone: ₹20.50 lakh (a discount of ₹6.14 lakh)

Performance and Range Remain Unchanged

Although the price has shifted, the main hardware stays unchanged. The MG ZS EV still comes with a 50.3kWh battery pack and a single electric motor that provides 174bhp and 280Nm torque. It offers an ARAI-certified range of 461km, which works well for driving in cities as well as on highways.

Smart Pricing to Prepare for Rising Competition

The lower pricing arrives at an important moment since rival models like the Hyundai Creta EV are expected to hit the market soon. MG has reduced the cost of the ZS EV to make it easier to buy and to grow its presence in India's electric vehicle market in the mid-size electric SUV category.

By adjusting the price, MG makes the ZS EV more attractive to individual buyers. It also catches the interest of fleet businesses and environmentally aware families seeking a higher-end electric SUV.
