The brand name Maruti Victoris has taken a totally new emphasis, yet adhering to the contemporary SUV hints. A wide horizontal line of chrome elements at the front is punctuated by sharp-edged LED headlights and narrow pixel-like DRLs, making it look futuristic. The silver skid plate, the layered bumper and black inserts contribute to the aggressive stance.
On one side, the SUV is mounted on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with squared arches and heavy cladding. Its sporty nature is enhanced by the effect of a floating roof due to darkened pillars, roof rails and a slight sloping roofline. Pixel-patterned connected LED taillamps, in the back, extend the width of the car, in conjunction with a rugged rear skid plate.
Features and Safety
The Victoris is large on the inside in both tech and comfort. It includes a big infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats in the front, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and 64-colour ambient lighting. Extra features are a wireless charger, automatic climate control with rear vents, and a sound system with Dolby Atmos.
Maruti has invested everything in the safety aspect. Victoris has six airbags standard, a 360-degree camera and is the first Maruti model to receive Level-2 ADAS with features.
More to the point, it received a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, thus becoming one of the safest cars ever produced by Maruti.
Powertrain Options
The SUV shares its powertrain choices with those of the Grand Vitara. There are options with 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol (103 PS), 1.5-litre strong-hybrid (116 PS combined), and 1.5-litre petrol+CNG (88 PS). Gearbox choices include 5-speed manual, e-CVT and 6-speed AT, respectively.
Interestingly, the Victoris is the first underbody twin-tank CNG platform to be introduced by Maruti that releases more boot space than a normal layout.
Rivals
The Maruti Victoris is a value product that will be competing in one of the most competitive SUV markets in India, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Tata Curvv. Its new styling, hybrid and CNG options, ADAS, and 5-star safety rating help it become the most premium and global-ready product in Arena history.
