Maruti Suzuki has already begun to take bookings on its next midsize SUV, the Victoris, and the token is Rs 11,000. The model will be sold through Arena dealerships and is likely to cost between 10 lakh and above.
Official introduction will happen around Diwali 2025, although design specifications, features and engine choices have already been announced.
Options, Engines and Gearbox
Victoris will come in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ with three powertrain options.
These are a 103 PS 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol, a 116 PS 1.5L strong hybrid and an 88 PS petrol-CNG. Depending on the hybrid model, transmission options are also quite flexible, including a 5-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter, and an e-CVT. It will also come in petrol-automatic AWD.
The most fuel-efficient SUV in India
Maruti boasts of an ARAI-rated 21.18 kmpl of the petrol manual, 21.06 kmpl of the petrol automatic and 19.07 kmpl of the AWD automatic.
The high hybrid version leads the list at 28.65 kmpl, and the CNG version gives 27.02km/kg. The Victoris wins the crown of the most fuel-efficient SUV in India, falling even below the Grand Vitara despite them both having similar powertrains with these figures.
Interior and Highlights
The Victoris does not sacrifice comfort or technology inside. It also has standard features such as automatic climate control, rear air conditioning vents, ESP, traction control, six airbags, hill-hold assist, and rear parking sensors.
Premium upgrades include a 10.1-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, Infinity 8-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS and terrain modes with hill descent control on the AWD.
With booking open, Victoris is efficient, technologically advanced, and safe; all bundled with India in mind.
